The Beatles: Rock Band launching worldwide on 9/9/09

    Game - $60 - PS3, 360, Wii
    Game w/Guitar - $100 - PS3, 360, Wii
    Full Band Bundle - $250 - PS3, 360, Wii

That's right, the Wii versions is the same as the others. And who in their right mind is planning on spending $250 on the full band set?

The game for sure. Doesn't sound like you'll be able to import the tracks into RB2 though. Bummer. But still, should be good.

Bah, wake me when it's Elvis' turn. As much as I can appreciate what the Beatles have done for music over the last 5 decades, I've just never been a fan.

All goes back to that deleted scene from Pulp Fiction. You're either a "Elvis Man" or a "Beatles Man." :D

Getting the game...may pick up a gutair if it looks interesting but not the whole set. Also I read on another site the release date is a subtle little reference no one may be thinking about

Now give me something Rock Band: KISS and I'd be all over it.

I told myself I'd never pay $60 for a 360 game (long story and I don't want this thread to turn into a console war), but I just might get this on day one, set list pending. I love the Beatles and all, but for all I know, most of my favorite songs won't be in it.

I can see why the full band set is $250. The instruments are brand new designs, and the set probably has two guitars. But regardless of how cool they are, I don't need them. I already think the four guitars I have (2 PS2, 2 360) is overkill.

The full band set almost certainly has two guitars, which would account for it being more. I would say it sounds ridiculous that anyone would pay $250, but I said the same thing when Guitar Hero was $90 and that ended up being not only a hit but one of those rare games that redefines the industry. People pay $180 or $190 for the bundles now and those sell pretty well, so why not?

One thing I'm a little bit curious about: the Beatles weren't guitar/bass/drums/vocals, they were lead guitar/rhythm guitar/bass/drums and traded off on vocals. Since this is a Beatles focused game is it possible there will be 5 tracks to play instead of the traditional Rock Band four?

I'm in for the game only edition, or maybe the game w/ guitar if they do a particularly cool redesign on the guitars.

Well supposedly the new instruments are replicas of the originals the Beatles used. So whatever their guitar looked like back then is what the Beatles RB guitar will look like. That might account for the higher price tag on the full set.

Though I don't see how they can replicate the drums without having designed an entirely new drum set. Something I can't see HMX doing.

Wow. If they do a Hofner bass and Rickenbacker guitar, this might be my entry into the faux-music game market. Awesome stuff.

Those are exactly what they have done. I'm not positive, but I believe they are wireless too.

If I didn't already have a wireless drum kit and two wireless guitars I would nab the full set but since I do have all of that I am going to have to stick with the game itself. I may need to pick up a second mic though.

Look at the pic, 3 wireless Guitars. (well 2 and a bass)

EDIT: Looks like it's the Drums and the Bass in the bundle and you have to buy the other 2 Guitars. At that price for just Drums and a Bass it becomes over-priced in my book.

Also, the game has three part harmony on the vocals. Which means to get the full experience you'd also need 3 microphones. The bundle only comes with one.

Games have just become way too overpriced.
