Yay! I'm so glad somebody finally did this, and it looks just as awesome as I imagined it would. Great job, especially with the light but effective texture on the purple paint. It really makes him look like he's the same type of plastic as a normal game controller.

I look forward to seeing the results. I assume that the other half of this combiner is made from Night Beat 7?

Would it work if you put them onto or inside of the ear bud? If not, maybe they could fold into a panel that covers the gap you can see his feet through. It really depends on where you need them on the figure.

    ah

Another great custom, that I also started but never finished, hopefully I will finish him or one day or just get rid of him mid project.

I threw some orange on mine to kkep it in line with the older one, but yours doesn't need anything else.

i want the wings to rotate on the y axis as well as the x right by the top, and the hooks on the tips of the wings to be able to flip out into feet, the combination is ok the way i have them set so far

yes, i have an extra g1 sandstorm face and am currently removing the flat part on top and hiding the rest of the engine, it seems close to the original face with minor adjustments

    thanks

Although I don't really have that much experience with customs, maybe putting in the pin first and then sculpting the hinge around it would work. You'd have to be careful, but it might be do-able.

As for the y-axis rotation, the best solution I can think of would be a rotational ball-socket joint right next to the pre-existing flat hinge. If that wouldn't work, then I'm stumped for now.

you have pretty much the same idea as i do, i have some small balljoints from a couple bw figs that are going to be added, but instead of beside i am thinking of removing the flat hinge all together, because i can make the wings go up with the joint, and it would give me more room to play, the hinge though....being my first custom, i want to do something kind of simple, maybe using the wing hinge would work after removing it
