I don't know which to choose.

Transmetals I when turning into a beast & vehicle was good.

Transmetals II was vicious and appear mutant.

If half of season 3 was rewritten, Megatron would've had more than one stasis pod.

Half as Preds and the other two Maxies.

If Cheetor had been wounded they would've found him and train him how to control it without the others knowing.

I hesitate to call the Transmetals triple-changers. They weren't vehicles, just animals with vehicular additions. But... I kinda found that cooler, since it wasn't an actual form and thus didn't need to look completely different. It was a feature, and had practical uses. They kept the versitility of their beats modes, but had speedier means of transportation. It was a logical evolution in my mind to basically blend the advantages of both.

Transmetal 2's were cool in concept and looked pretty neat on the show, but by their nature lacked refinement. Plus, they lacked any sort of transportation gimmick and thus felt like a step back.

I like having both around it made for an interesting mix of designs on the show, even more so if you include Fuzors and Organic Beast Modes.

It's worth mentioning there was a relatively unexplored supernatural element to the TM2s. Cheeror's premonitions, Black Arachnia's telekinesis and Dinobot II's healing ability that seemed to be a more evolved version of Rampage's healing ability.

Personally I don't like the TM2s at all. I actually wish we had more Fuzors on screen instead.

Hesitantly going for the regular Transmetals. Mostly because I liked how they gained mechanical mobility in their altmode. That was a nice feature.

But the TM2 had some wonderful sculpts with weird mixtures of organics and mechanics. But the few TM2 toys I had, I found less fun to transform or do anything with except marvel at their sculpts.

Went with the Transmetal II's...mainly for TM2 Megatron and Tigerhawk.

But as a rule, I weren't fans of either. Much, much preferred their original incarnations.

Voted TM 1. They were the best. Some of the TM2 's were good, but most felt like an afterthought.

honestly, TMII's kind of just blend in with TM's for me. they're just shittier versions without the pseudo vehicle mode and that's it.

I mean, they really aren't but alright.

TMII's all adopt the pretty distinct monster aethstic, with jagged, messy lines, patchwork robotics, distorted proportions. They're virtually the exact opposite of TMs, which were all about uniformity and clean machined lines. Even their organic robot modes lacked little exaggeration or asymmetry.

Transmetal II Scourge is pretty much the best thing.

A shame Rhinox, Terrorsaur, Waspinator & Airazor didn't go TM in the show. The show should've added more Predacons & Maxies and have some sacrificed!
