I've been working on an ongoing, self-imposed concept art project pertaining to redesigning the Beast Wars characters to fit the complex, "alien" aesthetic of the Bayformers designs. So far all I've done were sketches, but I recently finished the design for Dinobot, which I was so pleased with that I colored. It's mainly just shading because I haven't settled on a color scheme for him yet. Thought I'd share it with you guys.

    He's just finished slagging Waspinator.

    Thanks, everyone!

Yeah, in this version, they start out as mechanical, but Tarantulas accidentally bugs everyone's systems and their bodies start to try and convert themselves into organics every time they revert to beast mode. It's a very painful process that could potentially kill them if they became TOO organic and tried to transform (essentially tearing flesh and muscle, causing massive hemorrhaging from which they'd bleed to death).
So, Rhinox comes up with a way to confuse the virus into turning them into techno-organics, so the change doesn't effect their bodies so dramatically.
