is anyone else interested in seeing a reboot of the legendary beast wars sereis, the only reason i think of it is becuase i was just watching my season 1 again and thought it would be good to see a new, cooler version of it. i would like to see something witha little more of a realistic look.

    anyone else agree/disagree, ideas/opinions, whatever

I wouldn't mind one set in the Prime continuity. I wouldn't want a whole series set there though. A single season of about 13 episodes would do.

Surely you have that backwards. The last time we did this we got Beast Machines and The Gathering.

    Agreed 100,000%.

If the story isn't exactly the same nobody will consider it truely Beast Wars, and if it is it will never be considered as good. You can't really reboot Beast Wars since it would just be another series with TFs with animal forms. Beast wars is those specific characters, those specific voices, that specific look, that specific story. Just like you can't reboot Animated without completely missing the essentials that made it what it was. Beast Wars isn't as, for lack of a better term, vague as G1.

A reboot would still be a revisit. That statement makes no sense.

I would love to see a new take on Beast Wars, but with different characters.

Maybe a condensed retelling of it with better animation. Most of season 1 was forgettable and it got good when it started tying into the larger Transformers story. There there is silly stuff like Rattrap peddling a sub around. Better animation is a must. BW might have had good animation 17+ years ago but is looks horrid now.

Actually, I'd rather have a follow up series that ignores BM. No organic Cybertron, plant TFs or hippie Primal.

Maybe some new version of the event of the Beast Wars themselves, but I don't know about a complete series with new versions of the classic characters and events.

And I just remembered: Back in the Animated team's plans for the scrapped Season 4, wasn't there the idea that sometime in the distant future, Blackarachnia would gather a powerful force of Predacons fighting against a united Autobot/Decepticon alliance?

Maybe I'm missing something. My understanding is that a reboot would be taking the general ideas and themes of the original and making a new series out of that. The IDW comics are this for G1.

A revisit would be going back to the same continuity as the original cartoon which is what Beast Machines did for Beast Wars and what Energon did for Armada.

I want a Beast Wars prequels set during Pax Cybertronia that features Bumblebee, Grimlock, Deathsaurus, Dai Atlas and Ravage.

It's perfect the way it is, and I would oppose a reboot, but I would absolutely love a prequel series, set on Cybertron.

Righty-O! Let's just say Beast Machines was all from a bad dream Cheetor had on the way back to Cybertron. Beast Machines on it's own was good, but it just made no sense with what happened before.

More Beast Wars is a 1000x yes, but not in the form of a reboot. It wouldn't have the magic of the original series, & that impact of originality wouldn't be there at all.

I would like to see either a prequel, or 'missing episodes' bit done with updated cgi...maybe finally make the episodes like 'Dark Glass'?

Or even a tongue-in-cheek mini-series about how Waspinator got back to Cybertron!

I agree but say a reboot would be cool but have it between BW&BM.
