In the series finale of BW we see Megatron boarding the Nemesis. Both Megatron and Primal say that the Nemesis shot down the Ark. The writers didn't wrote properly as nobody was in the Nemesis when it crashed, they were all inside the Ark fighting and nobody controlling the Nemesis it broke loose from the Ark and crashed in the Ocean. We also see the Nemesis firing on the Ark which didn't happen at all. I don't understand why they didn't apply the real story. And we see Autobots and Decepticons inside the Ark perfectly normal but in G1 their scattered pieces everywhere. You guys have an idea as to why? Thanks
Beast Wars wasn't a direct continuation of either the cartoon or comics, but a mix of both, with stuff added or changed as needed. Therefore while it would reference stuff from the cartoon or comics they weren't trying to make it fit exactly.
And the story of the Ark and Nemesis' crashing on Earth may have been passed down by word of mouth as information was controlled after the Pax Cybertronia. Thus the story may have altered over time.
That's merely as the legend goes. Beast Wars intentionally left a lot of the details vague so as not to directly place it in any specific G1 continuity. As for the damaged state of the G1 warriors, not all of them were shown in pieces in G1. Most were intact, such as Megatron and Optimus.
In the G1 Marvel comics the Nemesis was left hidden (unmanned? I think Shockwave was left behind on board until he came down to Earth and encountered the freshly activated Dinobots) in space near Earth (in orbit?) cloaked and was eventually destroyed by the giant gun Galvatron had got the Constructicons in the past to build to hide under Autobot City to later blow up Unicron (and Autobot City) in the future. Now there's a sentence. But I guess since Beast Wars doesn't use the Nemesis of the comics this post is nothing more than a nice little aside to the thread topic.
