Does anyone think that the Humor in Beast Wars reminds us of the Looney Tunes Cartoons?

However, there was a reference to Tazmanian Devil and Wile Coyote when TM2 Cheetor was revealed when Megatron was spinning in tornado fashion similar to TD and falling down a cliff similar to W.C.

What about this line from Tarantulas in Tangled Web:

"Of course, you realize this means war"

    Mean Anything to you?

It is a phrase commonly used by Bugs Bunny himself.

Yes, the humor does seem a little "Loony" at times:

-Terrorsaur smashing into a metal sheet and leaving a dent in the shape of his head sticking out the other side.
-Dinobot II slashing Waspinator into literal ribbons.
    -The aforementioned Tasmanian Devil spin.
    etc.

Not to mention when they'd fall off ledges & shit, only to have their faces fall last, and I think Cheetor did that once while running.

I think this stuff was mostly in the earlier episodes before everything got serial, though.

    Season 1 and 2- No.

Season 3- It was a mix of this and Buy my Toy

I found the third season to be underwhelming after they wrapped up Agenda multi-parter.

    Thank Isenberg for Beast Machines.

Yeah, sometimes the humour is TOTALLY Looney Tunes, but it never makes me cringe and is mostly done with a wink to the audience.
Beast Wars was a series that knew when, and how, to have fun!

Yes, but I loved it all. Never came off as cheesy to me at all. It was done with tongue in cheek.

Yes and no. The creators knew how to work Looney tunes style humor into the show and have it work.

True, but he didn't originate it. A lot of the looney tunes shorts referenced movies and actors of the day. This line was first made famous by Groucho Marx in "A night at the Opera." So in a sense it is a generic reference.

Yeah, it was homage to Looney Toons. Y'know, to back when cartoons were cartoonish. They didn't dominate the humour, but sight gags were present here and there.

"The Low Road" had a higher-than-average concentration of cartoony style and visual humor. (not to mention ... the ending)

I didn't particularly like that kind of stuff in the show. Also when a Predacon would get shot out of the air and always fall on another Predacon, usually just as he was about to trash a Maximal.
