Uploaded my full set of images now.
thanks for looking,
That looks cool.
You should make a Chocobo-Transformer haha!
I think its a great idea! Can't wait to see where this ends up goin. Good luck to ya!
Hahaha, what? You sound like a casual science journal reader from the early 90s. I thought this feathery "news" has long since become mainstream among dinosaur enthusiasts by now.
The custom work looks awesome though.
And I'll say it again, turn it into a Chocobo, it will be one of the most unique customs ever!!
oh balls... i still thought there were some stubborn old fossil hunters openly rejecting this theory. :O
@ fateastray: so it shall be! i'll look for some suitable molds.
great work on the feathers! Can´t wait to see Grimlock finished!
That will be awesome
I'd just have gone the route of the Raptors in Jurassic Park 3.
now that i think of it, i should probably extend the reach of the arms by a bit.
The sculpting looks really good.
Wow, this might be the most life like version of the velcioraptor ever. So keep us posted on your progress.
Eisen, I hate you for one very substantial reason: Having the ability to sculpt hair/feathers.
I can not, for the life of me, accomplish this. I've tried, several times. I even used the same epoxy Jin Saotome (John Mallamas) uses, and he gets great results.
And by the way, I too am in favor of the Chocobo modding. FFFTW!
thanks man, all it is is just putty and an X-acto knife,i just learn by looking up tutorials on the internet. the most helpful ones come from sites that specialize in minis gaming. i've worked on figures before so it gives me a bit of an edge but i've seen a lot of other guys do amazing stuff with mighty putty. never say never man, anybody can sculpt as ong as they stick with it!
I'm gonna have to master the art if I plan to finish my custom Goku action figure
i've found this link very helpful: The Art of Miniatures Sculpting, Basics and Techniques
the green stuff being talked about there is the same as milliput or mighty putty.
Hmm, it doesn't really say anything I didn't already know. It's really just a matter of honing my skills. I appreciate the help though.
Excellent sculpting, really, really good. About time we saw a dinosaur mould that fit with current knowledge.
thanks for the kind words folks..
update time, tested out some colors, to get it close to the original1997 dinobot repaint, but ultimately decided to make the bot eyes red because he's... y'know... Grimlock.
