Yeah, because Primus forbid that somebody on the internet doesn't like my Beasties toys.

    Hmm...

I think the problem isn't that beast wars fans are any more defensive of their toys then any other toyline fandom, its that the reviewer was incredibly shortsighted and rather foolish for judging a toyline that spanned for years by the first relatively poor figures and not bothering admitting that the line got better as toys lines tend to do. And people will call him out on that.

I understand where JoshB is coming from, some of the beast wars fandom can rage over the simplistic things. BUT, so does every other fandom: G1, Beast Wars, Movie-verse, Star Wars, Star Trek, etc etc. personally, I love Beast Wars, it was my first transformers, but I know it has aged, heavily. And I deal with it, but he was sounding very biased in my opinion.

Wait, Beast Wars has aged? Really? If I can actually watch Beast Wars without making fun of it's writing or it's animation errors like what I do to G1, then it hasn't aged at all imo.

I'm fine if someone doesn't like BW, but to say it's "bad" in both toy quality AND show quality as if with an authoritive tone is what I take offense at.

The animation has aged. To deny it would be just plain ignorant, but as far as story goes Beast Wars Seasons 2-3 is almost unmatched in story.

I say Beast Wars has aged visually but still has a very strong story. It's even got "Code of Hero" which is one of my personal favorite pieces of Transformers fiction.

Yeah but not that much. Beast Wars looks a million times better then Energon and Cybertron to me.

I agree, and I honestly think it looks more realistic than those newer cgi cartoons like the star wars that people have brought up in regards to being more modern.

Not a big fan of Beast Wars toys to be honest, but they did get awesome when they went Transmetal.

I rage when people refuse to see it because of the retarded TRUKK NOT MUNKY reasons, completely ignoring the fact that it has by far the best writing of any TF shows ever produced.

^ I don't even rage at that tbh. Live and let live. I adore Beast Wars for everything that's good about it, but if someone else can't get along with the fact that they're animals then it's their loss, not mine. So why should I worry? :D

I think hardcore fans of any TF series are overly defensive. Look around these very boards for evidence

I just dislike when people dislike the show because it about animals and not cars and not the story. People need to remember that beast wars save the franchise. I just like to say don't dis it if you didn't see it. I never seen rid yet and I don't talk negative about it.

Once I saw the guy, it didn't surprise me that he hated Beast Wars:lol .

Now, I can't defend BW from every jackoff that complains about it, but I will say this...

They are missing out on one FANTASTIC series.:2c: .

EDIT: Here is my question... why do people post stuff like this here anyway? I mean, its just a couple of OLDER guys, complaining about a line they were obviously too old to enjoy at the time.

Oh, and let me leave this here. BW actually won one of these during its run.
