Did I read correctly recently that they are going to rerelease the BeastWars dvds with more bonus features? If so any idea when? Before the movie release I am assuming.

I certainly hope so. I bonus features on the previous sets sucked hardcore. Here's hoping for the best.

Eh, if new sets come, great for those who don't have them already. I'm very happy with the sets I have.

If so, good for the guys who missed them. I don't see a need to replace the ones I have. Special features don't really interest me all that much. I usually watch them the 1st day then never again.

I don't buy the dvd's for the special features. The series was great, and code of hero is still one of my favorite episodes. Well..that and when optimus goes all terminator. heh.

From what I remember, they're just doing another marketing pitch. Not rereleasing them, not even making more. Just advertising them more.

Perhaps consider importing Madman's Region 4 Beast Wars boxsets - the extras are better (IMO), they have director's / writers / actors commentaries on some episodes and are very nicely packaged.

    Season 1
    Season 2
    Season 3

Can't see any new special features being anything stellar anyway (cast interviews, animation models?). What counts with BEAST WARS is how good the episodes are, and that's the same no matter what set you buy.

Anyway, as has been said: the re-issues seem to be exactly that with nothing new on them. I'll be sticking with my Rhino beauties.

Does anyone know if Beast Wars is ever going to be released in the UK? Id kill for all the seasons to be released like they did with G1. Can you even get them in the UK now? Have they ever been released in the UK? I hate living in the UK!

You know, no offense, but that's just a bit selfish. You're not required to buy the new ones and that shouldn't stop others who don't have it from getting it. I have the old ones, too but I may or may not buy them again and gladly if there was something interesting enough added. :)
