Its been 15+ years since I have seen the show, haha
When is the last time you played with the original figure?
I never had the original figure
So what does the BW in your username actually stand for?

Got gray Convobat today... and then someone bought the red one. Had to take one last pic for posterity.
Last I checked MP Megatron was pre-order sold out on Amazon Japan. I'm sure there will be some stock fluctuation between now and release, but I think they're getting the message loud and clear.
I kinda wish Botcon would have done a two pack as well... with megalligator being murdered out all black LOL that would have been sick!
I need to pick up that red version one day as well as Onyx Primal. they're too cool to pass up.
That particular Botcon organizer (that made Onyx) was going to do a two pack in 97 with alligator megs and terrorsaur... The megs would have been white or light grey. They pushed hand painted pieces as a promo before Hasbro gave them the okay to do so and in turn revoked whatever status they would have had in making that happen.
So they took all of the plethora of Onyx Primals they had and repackaged them for Transcon in 97.
Hell of a name, btw lol
I don't have a fortune but I'm willing to part with a kidney
agh thats not good, it means they might just try raising the prices even more if they can get away with it
That's not quite how this works, but sure.
Personally I'm fine with the price.
I think it's worth it. I'm sure once Rattrap or Tigatron or Scorponok are being offered the complaints will be down to a minimum again. I got a large, quality, well painted figure with Dinobot, and for $190 shipped I was more than happy with him. I'm sure Megatron will be no different at $220 shipped.
I'm especially looking forward to JX TM2 Megatron even at $240. Seeing it in person, that thing is HUGE! It'll be bigger than MP Megatron .(as it should be)
Needless to say, I'm more than okay with the choice I've made in my own collecting habits of quality over quantity. I get less new stuff, but when I do get new stuff it is blowing me away. I like that feeling lol
The price point is the big issue 240 usd to nzd is 360 plus postage 50usd at least is 75 and then that turns into 435nzd, because its over 400nzd it gets hit with tax coming into the country and a processing fee thats a extra 110nzd thats all up 545 nzd or 362usd for one MP figure
to put that into scale MP prowl cost me about 110nzd Mp Dinobot cost me 320nzd.
I would be okay if he was the same price as Dinobot then he would avoid all the extra costs but they had to put him up and price me out
Have you looked into other buying alternatives like shopping from China instead of US retail? It'll definitely be cheaper and may even knock it down low enough closer to Dinobot's price.
yeah i have no matter how its spinned without finding a way to avoid postage being decleared on it its impossible to avoid the bounce up in price its so fustrating because i do want him but he is going to cost as much as everything i will buy next year in the way of transformers and more likely any other collections i have
That's a bummer, dude
Hopefully it'll all work out one way or another.
I feel like the high cost of Dinobot and Megs is to also off set the less popular beast wars toys, who will hopefully be back in the $70-150 range.
We've knocked out the big boys, now lets get some tiny and mid size bots at reasonable prices.
hmm.. well not to be a downer but I think there still is 4 more S1 big boys: Inferno, Terrorsaur, Rhinox, and Tigatron.
and then if we get to S2 and beyond..... there is TM2 Dinobot, Rampage, TM Megs, TM2 Megs, TM2 Cheetor, TM Optimus, Depth Charge, Tigerhawk and then the freakin' gargantuan TM2 Primal.
If I am looking at the scale poster right... it looks like TM2 Primal is as near as makes no difference 4 heads taller than Dinobot. That's going to be absolutely massive!!!
So where is everyone purchasing their Masterpiece Megatron?
Particularly asking any Canadians since all these sites don't offer free shipping outside the US, who has the best price? I'd been using robotkingdom lately as they had dinobot $25 cheaper and the shipping cost the same as most others. Just wanted to see if anyone had done the leg work yet.
The leg work in $USD
265 megs + 56 shipping = $321 ($420 Canadian)
