I've been predicting Rattrap as most likely to be next for a while, based on the fact he wouldn't have to cost a fortune, he was rumored along with Cheetor and Megatron way back when and he compliments Primal Cheetor and Dinobot well. I know people 'want' another Predacon and it might happen but TT tend to shy away from baddies. My only worry (with any of them) is given their recent trend they will pack out whoever it is with accessories, stands etc etc to make them another high priced item.

Perhaps we could see vs. Packs again by that logic. Two smaller characters with a ton of acessories... while ttt saves on box art and packaging design.

That might be nice but that doesn't fit my logic. What I'm getting at is TT are increasing prices and justifying it by packing in more (inexpensive) accessories. A double pack would see them straying back into the area of value for money ;)

The way I took it was that higher price points are okay provided that the profit margin is there. Retail companies couldn't give a crap about the final price point, it's all about margin. If they can cut corners by Saving on Packaging and also locking sales with a high-margin, that's what they will pursue.

could be worse... they could be squishy too.
could be a shady seller though.. resealing regular figures in the variant packaging.. then keeping the variants loose.

Oh wow! I never knew such a thing existed. Hopefully the owner sees this and will post a pic for us here!

Sure IF they chose to do that I can see most of that being logical. However my original post wast really about any of that. It was just that I personally think Rattrap is the most likely next BWMP. The comment about his price was merely a concern I have in light of recent trends. What you suggest doesnt fit with that trend or have any real precedent within the MP as yet, unless we are thinking Bumblebee and Exo-suit Spike.

Man, I don't know. There were plenty of times when I thought Blackarachnia's boobs looked pointier than usual in some episodes. Her design was inspired by a stripper, honestly wouldn't put it past them.

I got a Detolf for Christmas.

On the topic, Mr. Kaye can't be far away with his annual video...

With all these G1 reissues popping up, does anyone think we might see some Beast Wars reissues in the future?

Nope. Sealed specimens. Seen in person. No "tape over tape"
Which isn't to say much either. My green sticker Dinobot had no tape, tape residue, or torn off packaging seen when tape is removed from boxes. But my green sticker Dinobot that was the same as the Kenner did have cut tape. So who knows?

    Anything is possible.

To this day, I'm still amazed that Hasbro has never released a set of TM Waspinator figures in G1 Seeker coluors.

The 10th anniversary BW reissues didn’t sell that well IIRC. May have put Hasbro off, not to mention that I seem to remember the Generations BW figs shelfwarmed a bit too.

Plus from what i heard most of the BW basic molds got lost/destroyed. :(  Add that to the fact Hasbro/Takara only seem to be interested in pandering to the GEEWUNNERS right now... Despite all that BW did for the franchise its still treated like garbage by the rest of the fandom, usually for really stupid reasons. "Duh, they is animals not cool cars or trukks!" or "the CGI is dated now so I'm not going to watch the show". Well yes it is dated, the show came out over 20 years ago, you idiot. But you act like G1 isn't riddled with animation errors or stiff animation? If you actually watched BW you might like it! It has some of the best characters in TF history, and unlike later CGI TF shows (*cough* TF Prime *cough*) it has actually interesting plots and characters.

To be fair, prime has potential, the writers just squandered it on endless fetch quests and maintaining the status quo

To me the Beast Wars animation still holds up pretty well, in particular the second and third seasons. I think it’s aged far better than other CG shows from the time.

    I agree.

Has anyone been to Kohl's or Macy's lately? I was thinking about those Dinobot knock offs that came with boys t-shirts, and although someone here did a review of them last time they popped up, and they weren't very good quality, I'm still interested in that grey version. Now would be a good time if any to have them out again.
