this however looks like an absolute trip to transform

Okay, I'm in desperate need of advice here. I have Masterpiece Cheetor, and the forearm panel was too tight and the loop ended up breaking in a spot. I've left him alone now for a while, but with Dinobot coming soon and Megatron announced, I wanted to work out if there was any hope in transforming him again, as long as I was slow and delicate. So I gave it a try, but I definitely made it worse. I managed to get it back into position so he's looking fine in robot mode, but I'm certain if I ever transform him again it's going to break, as it started breaking in a second spot and isn't holding on by much.

I really can't afford to buy a whole new figure to replace him, but I really hate having transformers I can't transform, particularly one as meaningful to me as beast wars. Is there any way to replace a single part? I feel like this is a perfect situation for 3d printing, or there should be a 3rd party that can make replacement pieces for at-risk parts. Any ideas? Or am I doomed to a keep him in robot mode until I'm somehow able to buy a replacement?

 

I'd start saving up just in case, but I would wait for somebody who knows more about this than me

 

sell yours on ebay, broken part and all, get half costcost back, pick up a second one

Insecticon is my favorite Insecticon. And my favorite Basic figure with that auto-morph or whatever they called it back then, feature.

He also seems to be way more possible than the remake of Shrapnel. Especially in the feet.

 

Oversimplification and a half right there, amigo  
Terrorsaur is gonna be one hell of a challenge. Stuffing all of Dinobot’s unneeded flesh into his torso has given him a pretty huge hunchback. Terrorsaur’s beast mode is all but gone except for his head in bot mode and that’d probably have to be a faux piece so he’s gonna look super bloated if TT just try to pack everything away instead of somehow finding a use for the wings in bot mode. I can’t see how they’d be able to cover his underside either. That’ll just have to be exposed bot parts or he’s gonna be a far chunkier Pteranodon than on the show.
I want MP Terrorsaur so bad but I can’t help but feel he’s gonna have to be one big compromise in beast mode.
(That still wouldn’t bother me too much but I like to make him seem more impossible just so I can be extra blown away and moved to years when TT defies all expectations and flawlessly nails him!)

Couldn't think of how to describe it. But now I have a word for it. I'm thinking Terrorsaurs parts will butterfly into the wings.

 

Wait for the punchline...

 

I envision the wings folding in and out like a fan but then I still have no idea where to store them inconspicuously in bot mode...

 

I was thinking of something like this with Dinobot's rib folding into his robot mode thigh.

 

Ye I think a lot of double-sided panels and splitting limbs will be essential for Terrorsaur. It’ll be a great experience to just ooggle at his prototype pictures trying to figure out what magic TT have pullled off. *sigh, some day.
