Them being sold as transformers is the only reason I ever got any of the toys which then got me into the books, so it really was brilliant from a marketing perspective

Look, if you don't own the deluxe Tobias toy, you're doing something wrong with your life. Most of the others aren't great, but that figure was, and still is, amazing.

I never got into animorphs, but a couple years ago I did decide to pick up the one that transforms into a wolf to go with my other wolf-formers.

The book-off (a used book store that buys and sells many other used items besides books) in the mall where I used to live did have several animorphs at one point and I was tempted to get some of them but ultimately decided against it.

Hope it's okay to double post from the cool stuff thread, but since I put all my other BW beach photos here it felt only right to post the last of them.

I love those decos. I’ve longed for that Razorclaw so much I think I forgot that version of Claw jaw even existed. He looks fantastic.

Whenever life gets you down and you feel like it's impossible to achieve your dreams or have any meaningful impact on the world, remember: somebody got Injector made. They had that idea, and by god they made it real in defiance of all obstacles and indeed common sense.

The normal (orange) tigatron never made it to production, it was the preproduction deco for tigatron

I had to replace my silverbolt wings on magnaboss, (conveniently a local old time toy store had a junker) one of the round pegs that connect to the elephant (If I recall correctly) had snapped off, also the back of the bird neck where it clips into the mid dorsal line of the bird had snapped, my replacement also snapped at that point again when I transformed from beast to robot!

And I am entirely thankful for that individual.

I have normal Razorclaw, but I kinda want to get Rockbuster one day.

It's just a pleasant deco. I feel like the colours of the two crab nicely compliment each other, too.

Yeah, it's a real shame the bird was not just brown plastic. When I swapped out the wings on mine (I swapped out parts) I did a stress test on the damaged wings, I wave them a careful twist and yup, they shattered pretty easily, into really quite dangerously sharp pieces. I should have got a photo back then.

The trouble is the various pegs for magnaboss mode are the 5mm (?) ones and some more standard clips and both appear fragile I suppose it depends where the swirls are. I always assumes swirls were random, however what is really weird is if you examine vintage motormasters, his gray plastic is full of swirls and they are in the same place, at least the ones I have looked at (i assume they are from the exact same mold run or something?

I got Magnaboss today. Everything was going great until I tried pegging the chest piece to the wings, and in doing so the peg that goes into the panel that has the robot arm broke and is now stuck in the hole. Fortunately moving the wing tips back will hold that panel up.

If you get this combiner, DO NOT try to plug both wing pegs into the chest. It's not worth it. Watching Emgo's review, he got both pegs in, and then one immediately came out. I was afraid one or both of the pegs would break, but a different peg at a different section broke.

I'm thinking of just super gluing the peg. Now that he's combined, I'm never taking it apart, not even for storage. I have a feeling unplugging the other wing might be very bad anyway.

Overall, having him in hand, it's much better than I thought, but unfortunately I couldn't get away with keeping him unbroken. Damn my stubbornness. At least that's the only thing that did break and it didn't compromise the combiner.

Good luck to whoever gets this guy next.

Rather than super glue in the peg, drill a hole between the Peg and where the peg broke off and bind it with a thin screw and perhaps some super glue. The super glue on its own will not hold.
