Hi all can someone recommend a good place online to get the legends convobat, I really don't want to pay $80.00 excluding shipping and customs for a deluxe. I'd rather try and get him on an Asian site but I've no ideas, any thoughts are welcome and greatly appreciated. P.s I'm being scabby I'm currently putting money away for certain beast wars figures and a perfect effect beast gorira so I'm trying to work around that
You're gonna pay about that much wherever you get it from
Beast Wars Neo Bazooka might be a shellformer, but he's a fun one.
I thought you guys would get a huge kick out of this Universe Cheetor I found today at a second hand store. It seems that the person who had it before tried to turn it into either Ravage or the cancelled Walmart repaint. Whatever the reason for its creation it's certainly the strangest thing I've ever found at a second hand store.
Japanese BW toys certainly had unique alt-modes. A Euoplocephalus in this case.
(Some pics are reposts)
Man, I don't know why but I much prefer 10th anniversary Waspinator to Generations Waspinator. He's just a fun little guy!
Awesome display! What shelves are those? I've been looking all over for floating shelves that have doors. Thanks!
I bought them from IKEA from the living room/TV section. They have more color choices. I just chose the bamboo ones specifically for beast wars.
Hey guys, here's my BW display version 3.0. I've been working on the collection for a little over 3 years now. It has every figure under the BW label (both U.S. and Japanese [minus things like lucky draw]) except 3. I'm working on one of them, the other two have been a lot harder.
The BM collection isn't done yet, I've saved it to last, as they're cheap and they weren't a priority. I have some of the BWR repaints coming in to round out my show cast. Most of the bookcases have labels, and I think the Detolfs are fairly easy to figure out what I'm going for (the top two shelves of each are the orginial Maximals/Predacons in both beast and robot modes). The bottom left detolf shelf is acting as my masterpeice/classic BM display and includes the Botcon 2013 set, MMC Titanika, legends Tankor, and a generations Rhinox prototype I'm using as a "Ghost" rhinox like the ghost Starscream in the predacon transmetals display.
The far right bookshelf is my Cheetor vs Waspinator display, with the bottom shelf being tangentially related BW figures that I have no where else to put. I'm going to transition it to a classics BW shelf as we get more MP beast wars figures and the telemocha/henkei/generations need somewhere to go.
The bottom center bookcase shelf is some KOs I have, I have a lot more KOs but I don't currently want to put them out or have to add another bookcase just for them.
On top of the detolfs I have Fort Max and the two versions of MMC predaking as my progenitors to the Maximals and Predacons (in some fictions) and a bunch of Lio Convoy repaints among other figures I like.
Thanks for viewing.
I thought I was a 'collector.' I was wrong...
That's interesting. And to be honest, I think this mold looks good as BW Ravage.
Oh yes. I love Transmetal Optimus so much. Only got him when I was already an adult collector but I still dig him a lot. He often sits on my desk when I work at home.
That's one impressive collection, I really like your setups!
Ha! I don't think I could call myself a collector most of the time, but it doesn't matter how complete or big your collection is as long as you enjoy what you have. It's just that the bigger ones are more impressive to look at, naturally
What a beautiful collection you got there.
Im definitely not a completist and nowadays I'm very picky as my tastes having gotten a little richer and my standards are higher too. I tend to opt for one version (or double dip where BW MPs are concerned) of what I deem to be the best iteration of a character in the six inch scale whom I have some real fondness for or emotional attachment to.
Sracsose's collection is on another level with a seemingly different agenda to my own but by Golly gosh is it impressive. I would spend hours just shifting my gaze from one shelf to another admiring every figure and the manner in which they've been posed.
That is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen...
Still working on my website display
Thanks for all the kind words everybody. I'm always working on tweaking every little thing, and I never feel quite satisfied with posting pictures because something is always a little off or not quite where I want it.
I did a quick tally tonight for the first time, if anyone was wondering. It's around 460 (give or take, I wasn't super precise) transformable figures. So no pvc figures or statues included in the count. It does include happy meal/kabaya stuff. At last count I need 22 more under the Beast Wars/Beast Machines labels to be complete; so it'll be almost 500.
If you have any display advice or questions I'd be glad to hear it.
