Would someone explain to me what the Telemocha figures are? Are they just Takara 10th anniversary Beast Wars figures? They have different heads than the US releases though correct? I've tried searching on eBay and Bigbad and can't seem to find them even listed. What do I need to search for? Thanks for any help!

Yeah I'm on the lookout for these as well BIG TIME!

The new head of the Telemocha Megatron looks a bit shit (way too cartoony, ironically) compared to the original, so maybe that's the best one to get?

I did start a thread a while back about which figures are the most show accurate and i got some pretty decent replies: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transformers-toy-discussion/300330-beast-wars-toys.html

However, actually finding them seems to be next to impossible. I have been scouring eBay since that thread and found virtually nothing. Who'd have thought they could be so rare?

I beg to differ, I think the Telemocha Megatron is pretty accurate to the show (if you're talking about the deluxe version), but each to his own.

Ebay occasionally has them, Primal being among the more common ones. They're extremely good repaints, and probably the best of each mold.

Telemocha is Japan's BW 10th. They have more figures, with vastly improved decos over the hasbro versions and really show-accurate. Wheras Hasbro had eight, Takara/Tomy had over a dozen figures in their lineup. And with a slightly different selection, including Blackarachnia, Tigatron, many Japanese-only characters, and much better deluxe-sized Optimus Primal and Megatron. (as well as straight repaints of the Ultra Figures minus the remoulds with evenmore accurate decos. With in Megatron's case was a Godsend)

No, we're talking about the Ultra. The Deluxe is fine, and deco aside, unchanged from the RM version. And I agree, the new ultra Megs' head looks horrible, especially compared to the old head which looks almost dead-on to the show properly painted. (and excluding the bat-wings)

Dude, the Transformers Wikia is shit. Use TFWiki.net. Lightyears better.

    And here's thier page.

So, which is the definitive Ultra BW Megs for show accuracy? The original Hasbro Ultra?

No. IMO, it is the straight-repaint of Hasbro's Ultra Megatron for Telemocha. Labeled DX Megatron.

Takara did three Megatrons for TM:

Deluxe-sized Megatron repaint from the Robot Masters line.
Ultra-class repaint with remoulded head of the original T-rex Megatron toy.
DX Megatron: Ultra-class repaint of original T-rex Megatron in more accurate colours without remoulded head. This is the one you want. (Also the one I've been looking for to no avail)

Telemocha "DX" Megatron was the original Ultra Class with an upgraded paint job, but without the remolds from the Reborn two pack that was also released in the US. That'd be your definitive Ultra Class release.

Thanks guys, that was some awesome info.

It gets a bit confusing, especially when you are only just getting into Beast Wars like I am! Never knew Takara made 3 Telemocha Megatrons.

But thank Primus at least they did make one without the remolded head cos that thing is ridiculous IMO.

I've been a Beast Wars fan since it came out, and I'm still confused.

    Ebay:
Two. The third one you're referring to was the set of ultras labeled 'Beast Wars Reborn' and was a one-off, not part of the BWT line. That one had the remolds, and was later a TRU exclusive in the US.
Beast Wars Reborn - Transformers Wiki

But yeah, the BWT DX versions are the best, and I've received four PMs wanting it since my first post in this thread. :lol

I bought the Telemocha BA and Dinobot back when they were released. Dinobot has since been replaced by Henkei. Recently, I tracked down Cheetor, Tigatron, and Waspinator. Rhinox would be the other, but I have other plans for him. Will have to check out the DX Megs. Don't recall being enamored with him

That's him, and not a bad price, really... kinda nullified after $20 shipping, though.
