I think they just drew Grimlock big because he's Grimlock. Not thinking about "hmm... what specific raptor species could we base him on..."

If you're referring to the last panel of page 21, that was just a bit of forced perspective shot, he's really not big enough to step on Magmatron :D

Man, your work is getting sweeter by the issue!

Unfortunately, I can only afford one cover (guess which one   )...

Good observation, never caught onto that until now! Maybe they can repaint Bat Optimus Primal into BW Rat Bat!!!

Heh. Didn't think about that one. I doubt it means anything, just a cool coincidence.

Except limited to four issues. Let's hope these "hints" in the letters page are leading to an ongoing. :D

Yeah...that's the ONLY thing that sucks about Beast Wars.

I SOOOO wish this was the ongoing instead of the lackluster (in my opinion) G1 series.

But thats the funny thing. This series has been pretty sweet so far but G1 (which has the exact same writer) has been lackluster. Go figure.

I personally think things slowed down to much this issue. It was kind of boring IMO. But not bad. We'll see if this series becomes a classic when issue #4 hits the stands.

For the record, the last Marvel run G1 comic had the headline "Issue 82 of a Four Issue Limited Series"

    just a little nostalgia

As always, stellar artwork, Don. Really glad they chose you for this title.

Furman, though...I enjoyed everything up til the last page, where Grimlock was introduced. Would it REALLY have been so difficult to NOT use this particular character...?

As for Ryall's suggestion at the end of this issue...it'd be nice to see a series about Cybertron prior to Megatron's return and machinations. Or, perhaps even better, keeping the same cast of characters and creating a post-Beast Machines series, where Magmatron returns to bring havoc to the new "Techno-organic" world. With both Primal and Megatron dead, it would leave the door open to more fully develop Magmatron and introduce Lio Convoy, and more hopefully, Big Convoy and the implications of the Matrix he carries in his chest.

Yeah, that would be a cool ideal, I just wonder what is going to happen after this series. It is so weird because I so love g1 and this series has totally took the spotlight from it.

I got the lio convoy cover. Anyways, I like this comics quite a bit. Lots of small groups of TFs duking it out. Next issue should be great with everyone about to go into grand battle. Hoping Ravage doesnt bite the dust again.

I liked how Retrax and Powerpinch had their beast legs serve as gun ports in robot mode a la Tarantulas and Blackarachnia. And I'm gonna display my Optimus Minor figure riding my Razorbeast toy now, too.
