According to Seibertron.com, there have been reports of people getting the TRU Exclusive Primal/Megatron two pack with a Megatron that DOES NOT have a ratcheted waist.

And I was actually gonna go pick up that two-pack set today. Whew.

I thought the original wasnt ratchet jointed either, I mean, both my friends who got him, theirs both had loose waists.

Hasbro's really slacking in the QC lately, with this, plus all the other problems.
(missing weapons/missiles in the two-pack, and the classics issues noted)

some takara sets were missing megatron's eyes. no one's perfect this time.

I'd just pull the part out of my original Megatron, since if I got the new version, thats the one I'd be displaying the most.

So the ones without the ratchet are super loose now, or still tight but without ratchet movement?

The waist on my BW 10th Anniv. is fine. It doesn't ratchet nor is it super loose and flops around. Personally it is not that big of a deal that it is missing. The ratcheting waist doesn't take away from the resculpted parts and the better paint scheme. If you were thinking of buying it you should still be pleased with this version.

Yet more proof that ratcheting joints are evil. :p

It's no big deal. It's not like the waist is twisting around on its own. It's just like any other friction joint in any other tf. I have both the original AND the BWX 2-pack version and I didn't even realize there was anything wrong with it till I read this thread.

I haven't opened mine, so I have no idea if it has these problems.

    Oh noes!! :rolleyes2
Seriously, mine isn't "super loose" or whatever, and I have an original to compare it to. The original one I have (a Takara BW megs), doesn't seem to rachet either- when the waist turns, it doesn't click or anything, it just rotates just like the BW10th figure does.

My Megs has a loosish waist, definitely not "spin the legs like a propeller beanie" loose though. The set's still totally worth it for what it does offer, and Primal of course.

If the part's that important, get a junker BW Megs or T-wrecks, and a screwdriver.

I didn't think it ever had a rachet. I don't have an original, but I do have a T-Wrecks. I tryed it on him when I realised the new one didn't. T-Wrecks doesn't have a ratched joint either.
