It's almost been a year since I last posted a custom...I've been busy at school. That said, I now have time to post some of the customs I did last year. I've been getting back into Transformers now that Age of Extinction is coming out soon. You'll see more from me!

This Shockwave is a straight-up repaint of the Beast Hunters mold. I disabled the spinning cannon gimmick. I repainted him with a really, really deep metallic purple (it's a lot darker in person) but in the pictures, it comes off as somewhat bluish. Other details such as the chest, eyes, etc. were painted in, as well as the blue neon bits. I know it's not as good as all the "pro" customizers' versions, but I hope you like it!

I think it looks really good, yeah. Eye really stands out once painted.

Thanks, really wasn't a fan of the translucent plastic.

Great job tfcrafter! This looks like a premium figure now.

I have a few questions though:
    1. Did you disassembled him before you paint?
    2. What paint did you use to paint the chest window?
    3. Did you paint the crab-rubber-armor-thingy too? If yes, what did you use to get the color to stick?

    1. Yeah, I disassembled him. But I didn't bother knocking out the pins because it was too much trouble.
    2. I used a medium-gloss black acrylic for the chest.
    3. I didn't bother with the armor stuff. Quite frankly, I thought Shockwave was already intimidating enough.

I just glued the two halves together, then I glued the whole section to the base.
