I don't understand what's with the over the top, nothing to do with the robot while taking away any chance of disguise vehicle mode colors and extra unnecessary kibble.

I really hope none of these new bot designs make it to the show.

 

Like the look, don't like the colors.

 

Predaking is a "lock".
Smokes is a "want/lock".
Other dragons are a "completionist need".
The rest are a "I want to lock them out of my collection and not even the need for me to be a Completionist matters".

It doesn't work that way. The designers select the colors of each part to be molded and it's up to the logistics people at the factory to determine how much to order based on the requested quantity.

These choices are made consciously.

 

I'm about right there with you for now. Though ultimately I'm reserving judgment to see what they look like in the show to dismiss them completely.

 

A Terrorsaur repaint would be amazing for this, considering the proportions don't exactly scream Starscream. His show design is all lanky and skeletan but this is a very stocky toy!

 

Not really a fan from these first pictures. I'm also bummed to see that more of BH is just going to be the PRiD cast with funky designs. I certainly don't hate the Mad Max Formers, but I really would have liked some more new characters, or even the handful of on-screen characters that still don't have a toy (outside of Japan).

This line is starting to feel like a 90s superhero toy line. "It's Jungle Attack Bumblebee versus the hordes of random Dragon-formers!"

 

Some people actually do think it works like that.

Does Bulkhead appearing on the cross-sell alongside the other BH Deluxe's imply that he will also be at that size class? If so... me no likey. He needs to be Voyager or no deal. Scale would be all screwed up! And thankfully scale is something that Hasbro seems to be getting right currently, so would suck to see them backslide on BH.

Otherwise, I think Screamy looks great all 'beasted out'. I'm really digging BH Soundwave, crazy colors and all, so hopefully Starscream will similarly impress in hand.
