Awesome job. Definitely interested in seeing more pictures of the process. I think I might give this a shot.

This looks sick! Part formers don't bother me as long as it makes it look better. Great job! :thumb
I probably won't do this because I would most likely destroy my figure

Wow, NICE! I had a similar idea, I just popped the hood halves off and clipped them onto the little arms that hold his door wings. The roof kibble is still on the arms, though. Your idea is much better. *doing*

However, I'm not sure I like how hollow his arms look now, but I can overlook that. Way to engineer!

Might partsform... but it's still a significant improvement.

Furthermore... wouldn't be surprised if someone engineers a way to make it NOT partsform... I mean look at Classics Bee... for quite some time folks did kibble mods that partsformed... but folks figured ways to hide panels, shift plates, etc... and you can make a non-partsforming and very kibble free Bee.

So hey... To progress! And good job! :thumb

I'm a little confused by the "bottom channel extrusion" part. Can anyone help?

This is an improvement. I like the look of the pieces on the back better this way too

I just noted that there was more than one person who had this question, as so you would be more likely to answer, and I'm sorry I didn't see it in the original post. I was scrolling while reading it, which sometimes cause me to miss things. Also, I never said that was bad, I'm probably going to perform this mod myself(thanks!).

You're welcome, and Thanks for the compliment!

My sentiments exactly and thanks C71!

I figured you might want him :lol  , thanks!

    Thanks guys!

I have another one for a buddy I'm going to do tonight, so I'll take pics!

Thanks! and I agree. It's not too complicated if you have the right snips to cut the clear plastic with, maybe when I get the pics up, that'll help if you want to try not, if not don't sweat it, it's still a great figure.

Thanks Hoptimus! I really don't notice the missing unless I look for it, plus he has hollow parts just below his elbow joint too, so it doesn't look too out of place.

Thanks and I hope your're right! In fact I think one of the people who could do it stopped by this thread earlier... I seem to remember an amazing amount of engineering that went into the HFTD battle blades bumblebee...

When you put the roof back together and you have those clear parts that look like a back to back cs like this >[]< cut the bottom parts of the arrows off, I'll try to get some wip pics up soon.

    Cool, thanks B!

    Thanks!

Thanks for clarifying BR189, sorry to be snarky, just assumed you thought it was since you were quoting someone who clearly did.
BTW, I don't remember saying raaaaaaaaah, :lol

Looks awesome. I'm fine with the partsforming. He's just gonna stand there on display anyways.

This is awesome.I suck at modding tho so I would hate to ruin the figure once I found him.

I really like this mod, but after starring at it for a bit, I had a question. What does his back look like if you just left the hood pieces attached to the roof panels?? They fold over the windshield and would cover his arse if you left them on. Do they hang down too low, or do you just like the clean look of the roof as his back better?? I'm just curious, I'll be trying this myself as soon as I have a little spare time. Again, nice work!!

Nevermind, I just realized that they won't fit together when folded up...

I figured out how to attach the remaining hood parts to the legs.
