And do you know why he did that? Cause he's a fucking bear!!! People are always shocked when an animal like a bear or tiger, that has been around and trained by humans for most of its life, end up harming someone.

the saddest part is that they will probably put the bear down for doing something that was natural to him...

Yeppers. I understand the training and such, but geez, at the end of the day, its still a wild animal that outweighs most people by over 3-1.

"Oh no, it's comin' right for us!!!"

Exactly. Sometimes you get the bear...sometimes the bear gets you.

I have no sympathy for the guy. He made an informed choice, and it played out poorly. Them's the breaks.

That's sad. The trainer gets killed by the bear's natural reaction(was it?), and they will probably be puting the bear down for it.

    Sad news all round. :(

Question for those who do more research than me:
If the bear in question is simply returned to the wild, would its history of training make it unable to re-adapt to the wilderness?

more then likely. main problem would be that it doesn't have the skills to hunt in the wild and would end up starving or raiding population areas (which would probably end up with the bear being shot by a deputy outside a 7-11).

That being the case, putting it down would be the logical solution... and a shitty one at that.
