I can animate sphere bouncing cycles in maya... I mean, you could use that sorta talent, right ? We could put wrecking ball testies on everything !
Guys. this isn't a ultra design job that anybody will getting, it's just pre-viz, animated storyboarding with low-poly models, nothing more. jeez
cool if i pro, i wanna join but i don't know to do it...lol.. M.Bay so good for giving chance to our TF Fan!
I only know how to use 3DS Max. That is all my 3D Animation class has. Low Poly storyboarding sounds easy, but it's probably a lot harder than it sounds.
The way this sounds to me is that they are needing to set up more pre-visualization shots than were needed for either of the previous movies (when ILM and DD handled this sort of thing), due to a significant increase in scenes requiring this sort of work. Or, it could mean that due to the amount of extensive CGI needed for TF3 (again, beyond the scope of ROTF), they are bringing in help for the grunt work so ILM's heavy hitters aren't wasting time. Not that it should come as a shock that TF3 would be a bigger movie than ROTF, but it's surprising that they'd reach out like this for animators on a movie this size, even for pre-viz.
awww man i only have two more qtrs left then i graduate with my BA in Media arts and Animation!!! dang it!!!! that would be my dreamjob right there again slipping throuhg my fingers! wont be in time not to mention need to build my portfolio up better to shoot for something like that! Slag IT!
Maya is very expenisive nowaday Bay Most of us 3D animators still dont have Maya yet. I dont have Maya and the cheapest and most affordable one that i do have is Anim8or. Anyway i cant enter it then
You do know there's a free version available for download, right? It's the PLE (Personal Learning Edition) version. Renders are watermarked, and I don't think you can install plugins or add-ons, but other than that it's Maya, 100% free and direct from the publisher.
