Just got my MP-05 from BBTS and it appears that those guys permamently glued the plug in unlike other retailers who made it removable.. :mad

Has anyone had any luck popping that thing out from their BBTS MP Megs?

Try a hair dryer to loosen the glue.

I don't know why you're angry, they said they were glueing it in.

It took me several minutes, some yanking and a set of pliers to take BBTS plug off. Went right out like a bad tooth.

Yup, got mine from BBTS. I grabbed onto it with a pair of pliers and started twisting it back and forth, like using a wrench to tighten and untighten a bolt. After about 30 seconds of that, I felt the glue give way, and then I pulled it straight out. Easy.

    The mysteries of the universe!!!

If you asked, I would have told you that I was really hoping that it would be easy to remove.

I'm going to go the plier method but if it gets mangled an still doesn't come out.. I'm gonna be pithed.

I understand where you are coming from. With all the people who were able to just pull the plug out of the BBTS version I will be irritated if mine is a hassle too.

Mine was stuck tight, with no space to grab it with pliers, no gap between it and the barrel. I drilled a hole through the cap, shoved a flat head screwdriver into it, then twisted it, and that lossened it and it popped right out after that. No damege to the barrel, just some red residue inside the barrel left over. I'll clean it out someday.

I'll try your approach if I can't get mine out with pliers or any other method. I am pretty concerned that mine will be stuck like yours but thank goodness I have a drill in my house.

TFSource FTW! No pulling involved. He was never plugged to begin with. My buddy got his two days after I got mine. His was from BBTS and he said his plug sorta popped out like a champagne cork. Odd.

Got my BBTS Megatron a couple days ago. A little tooth action, and YOINK! - nothing left but some orange residue inside the barrel.

I also had no trouble pulling the plug out with my fingers. There's a little residue in there, but nothing worth freaking out about.

I would imagine that BBTS was so intent on shipping out the preorders as quickly as possible, that they rushed the glue application. The ones who could pry it out with their fingers got a little glue while others who had more difficulty got more glue. Just speculation on my part, though.

Ever since this thing was announced, I have had a weird feeling that Hasbro would release a version of him in the States. Now those instructions are making me feel more suspicious. Although for all I know all MPs have english instructions.

All Japanese released TFs have instructions (and packaging, for that matter) that have mixed English and Japanese text. I don't know why, but they always have.
