just after placing my pre-order over at BBTS, i began to wonder... wouldn't it be nice to have a US G1 piranacon box instead of that plastic box he cames on... so i started to work... only the easy work is done... but the general idea is there...
what do you think? should i make space for nautilator? or keep it like the g1 giftset?
please give your opinions... i'll apreciate any ideas you guys might have

You have to make room for Nautilator!

Make it like the japanese set and have all 6 in the box. You should still be able to use the us template.

i'm thinking to make both versions, japanese version is way easier to do, as they only use a big white/purple rectangle with sqares on it, unlike the us version where every little square is a diferent color...

When you have an actual box made (or physical work on it), feel free to post another thread in Customs. As of right now, this is a 2-D illustration and belongs in Fan Art, so off we go!

As for the box itself, you could always make both versions. I think it depends on what you really want: do you want "G1 accuracy" or do you want a "G1-esque" box that houses the BBTS set in its entirety?

Oooh, yes. This set needs a proper box. The packaging they come in is nice, but the box just completes it.

added a diferent box layout, with nautilator included, what do you guys think?
also i'm not sure if i should go with that plein style, or the more elaborate one (each square with its color)

well I am in favor of all the seacons being included
see this that I am working on
It is a modification that does not feature the varied purples, but rather more black to purple, similar to g1 devastator
I have all 6 figs on it, the cutouts can be done later

I have worked on side flap and back, but I dont have any scans nor can I find of the transformation steps that go from snaptrap to piranacon. I have included all 7 tech specs, but the art of the back is somewhat different in what I am working on

i just started on the back, i'm trying to keep my box style as close to the g1 original as possible, and to do so i'm taking my own pics to reproduce the transformation steps, group stands etc. its a little pain, but i think it will worth it =)

Mass production depends on how the final product will look and cost and also in demand quantities...

just added an updated front for the 5 seacons version

I agree- it can be made the insert with the Soft foam, akin to the TFCC Seacon set:
As far as production goes- i think mass production violates Hasbro and there trademark, so this is more for personal use, Cost I have to look into

Is there a source for scans of TF boxes that I can't find, or are these original? I am pretty good at graphic design, but I do not remember what most of my missing boxes looked like.
    Thanks guys
