Wait. you lost out too? Prior to asking for a refund, I told BBTS if they could alert me if they had a next batch, but they refused. BBTS is pretty much like a retail store where you should buy and get the heck out of there. Do not ask the salesman for help or ask them to look and hold things. It pisses you off even more down the long run. Gosh, I so want to go a date right now!
Damn, I should probably push for something similar due to the fact they lost two of my items so far. I'm really curious to see if me shipping my Pile of Loot is what caused this -- I told them to ship it yesterday and it started getting fulfilled today (and I had a City Commander in there). I'm wondering if they pulled mine, marked it as out of stock because it was the last one which triggered the flags on all of your accounts? Like I said, I didn't get the email telling me City Commander was out of stock and it seems like they sent out all the emails at the same time. Sorry guys

No Roufuss, you never knew and how was I supposed to know or any of us for that matter. Thanks to you, we found out that their pile of loot system is severely flawed. They have to re-type their policy now cuz I think they are going to lose more customers cuz I'm pretty sure 90% of their customers don't know this is going to happen to them down the long run.
I recommend getting a mod to change the title so more people can see this, something like "Pile of Loot items can be cancelled the longer you hold them" or something similar. I'm sure there is lots more who don't realize but this thread title is awful specific, so they won't click it.
I think "I had City Commander in my PoL and BBTS lost it" would get more views. You guys might also want to post in the BBTS in stock thread.
This happened to me one time. It was on a Universe Legends Brawn. I wasn't too upset (I actually filmed the haul for youtube, lol, and was like um...they forgot my little green guy!). I had never heard of them dropping the ball on a larger product like a City Commander. That's really unfortunate. I'm sure you could get that store credit added back to your card if you asked. I buy from BBTS on a weekly basis, so I was happy with the store credit when it happened to me. You could see about getting something else that's comparable to it, but I wouldn't expect a gold for peanuts deal like some people before me posted.
Its part of their standard policy to give you the option, I think. Both times I got the email it stated that if I wanted, they could refund me back to my card instead of store credit.
im sorry but accidents do happen on occasion.when i preordered cc last summer he sat in my pol for almost 6 months and when i shipped my pile in december he arrived with no problem. but in all honesty at least they didnt jack up the price the way tf source did.i mean 300 dollars is a bit extreme. the truth is if you know something is htf just bite the bullet and ship when it arrives.better a few dollars more in shipping than the risk of stock being depleted completely.
I requsted a title change so hopefully people will see this and not hold out for months until bbts fixes their situation.
Thanks for this thread. Went ahead and shipped my P.O.L. I was going to try to wait until the second Giant set was released but I started the order back in August so I'm a little over the 180 day limit.
I've always been on the fence about using pile of loot. This thread sealed the deal for me. No POL for me.
I've had this happen once recently on a not so in demand item. I've always liked the POL but it seems that if you hold it for a long time inventory mistakes can happen. I know mine has been held for longer than a year.
Well thats a lesson for all those who like to sit on POLs till they number in $1000's of stuff. I always ship with in a few weeks. Try and hit around $200 worth of stuff which usually ends up being like $10ish shipping, There are other reasons not to wait to long. For example: if you wait till there sold out on an item they wont be able to correct any defects
Man am I glad I shipped my pile a couple weeks ago since I also got a CC. Sucks for you guys that got screwed and I hope if enough people complain that BBTS will at least provide some form of compensation in addition to a refund.
i just ordered from bbts 2 weeks ago, they sent the wrong item then after i emailed them they still sent my package to me general mail . they could have done next day for the inconvience but bbts stands for bye bye thoughtful service, ... doesnt it?
i know it's of small console, but if you guys really want it TFSource has the CC armour in stock. just fyi - not recommending or anything just want to make sure you can still grab if you want it.
Making me paranoid since I started my PoL back in August and I'm sitting on over $1400 worth of stuff now, a lot of which has long since sold out of inventory.
I am not letting BBTS off the hook here but the moral of the story of this threads seems to be if you got a new hot, high demand item in your POL ship sooner rather than later. for the record i have not had any issues with my POLs.
