Coming in March. Costs more than getting it through iGear, but there may be more peace of mind.
Damn thats kinda high but only 12 bucks more than igear
Can anyone who has this compare the quality to that shitty Valkyrie I wasted my money on last year?
In my humble opinion? Way better quality. Delicate Warrior's white plastic may look cheap in photos because of its glossiness, but it's a pretty sturdy figure and certainly nowhere near as fragile as Valkyrie, which feels like it's made from potato chips and eggshells. Plus, it also has diecast, which is awesome.
The only real downside to Delicate Warrior is how goddamn sloppy her tucked-away arms look when she's in car mode. What a mess.
Thanks! I may have to bite on this...definitely second your sentiments on Valkyrie's materials...I think mine had some torn up construction paper thrown into the vat of chips and eggshells.
Actually, one other nice little bonus was that the third party makers tried incorporating light piping into Delicate Warrior, specifically through the center of her Princess Leia buns. She also comes with a sticker sheet, though I'll be damned if I know how I'm supposed to apply them since I've got no indication whatsoever of where they're supposed to go from the instruction manual.
While I'd still get her if I had to do it all over again, I'm really disappointed by Valkyrie. The only good thing about it was that I sort of got two for the price of one. My original pretty much broke out of the box, so Big Bad Toy Store sent me a replacement.
And now for something completely random (yet still on topic).
I'm happy with my Animated Arcee, thank you.
I've been commenting on this figure in the feedback section and I am just going to come out and say it. If you are looking to get this figure, get your preorder in. Don't wait for it to "go on sale" or go to clearance. It's not going to happen. I was one of the first people to order this figure and mine was the cheapest being in the first preorder group. The demand for this collectible is only going to go up. This is a perfect Arcee for United/Generations. They're not going to keep making these indefinitely.
Talking to igear a while back it was mentioned that they will be making all of the female Autobots, which we've already seen the prototype for Firestar a few months back.
As a proud owner, if I had the choice to do it again, I would even pay the price that it is going for now.
best wishes for you!
I've had numerous problems with my Impossible Toys Valkyrie, notably that I've already had to have a replacement from BBTS due to being made with the wrong parts and then the chest won't peg in on the new version. Plus I had to file down her feet so she could stand. In addition to that some of the screw holes on the arms were stripped so her biceps keep falling apart. Really poor figure, QC-wise, unfortunately, although she looks excellent.
Sadly I just don't think I can justify shelling out that sort of money on a character I already have. Even for half that price I would be dubious.
You might be able to fix the Screws by putting a resin like glue in the holes sticking the screws back in they using clothes pegs or rubber bands to hold her arms together till they stick - I had to do that with one of my Star Wars Transformers and the ankles screw on my 2007 Movie Prime. It seems to hold OK.
Easily the best Arcee toy ever made, here's mine:
I took a VERY BIG risk buying Igears version after getting burned on that piece of shit Impossible toys version. Igears is worth EVERY PENNY!
Trust me, you will never regret buying this version.
some comparison pictures would be nice
Thats what I'm sayin...she was arguably the best fig of 2010
Over 100bucks.. for that?!
I love my Impossible toys one!
Yes me too, much better looking than the delicate one.
not giving money to igears, arcee isn't important enough of a character to spend 140 on either
