TRANSFORMERS CYBERTRON: A new wave of Scout and Deluxe class figures is
now available. Hasbro has packaged the new figures very lighly in the
upcoming cases, so in order to carry these we have to mark them up a bit more than I'd like too due to all the 'old' figures also included in the cases. With that being said, the new items include Scout class Hightail and Shadow Recon Mini-Con Team. Deluxe figures include redeco versions of the Beast Wars 10th Optimus Prime Ape and Megatron T-rex - packaged in Cybertron packaging as well as the awesome Smokescreen repaint. Jetfire in October huh? Everyone else has been saying Febuary right?

Dubya Tee Eff. Looking at the dates on their pre-orders you've got a case that comes with one Jetfire, and at least one Optimus and one Megatron (though I'm guessing the extra for the four will be another Optimus) coming in October, and you've got the "original" case of 2x Megs and 2x Ops coming in November.

I'm half torn on which way I want to see that adjusted. Jetfire in October = AWESOME LOVE AWESOME LOVE AWESOME LOVE. However, my wallet will still be stinging from what's looking like a near fatal September and in November I'll almost be recovered enough to grab the entire Classics line without having a heart attack.

This could be so, so good, and so, so bad all at the same time. Argh!

 

I am sick of missing out, so him only being sold on a case means I'm now getting megatron, who I was on the fence about. preorder--done.

 

Hmm... after nearly a month of BBTS not listing anything new I wanted, I end up pre-ordering about 120 bucks (shipping not included) worth of stuff in one swoop with this update

As far as I know the previous shipping dates quoted for Jetfire were just guesses: BBTS doesn't tend to list Hasbro items until they've got at least an approximate shipping date from Hasbro themselves these days.

 

God I want that Balrog... but it's so effing big!
And don't tell me they made ANOTHER freaking deco of titanium Slave 1. That's what, like the 15th or something?

 

Early morning epiphany: Wasn't Grimlock supposed to be the forth figure in the second wave of Voyager class Classics? Does that make this case a 1.5 wave? Or have they decided to extend the line by having case ratios rotate slowly?

 

No soundwave is ment to be the next, grimlock isn't a voyager, he's the same size as hotrod and the others.

 

Right. Well, I guess that's what I get for posting a thought that early in the morning. But I knew there was supposed to be another new mold in the second wave case assortment, and it appears that's being pushed back for now.

 

No worrys every one makes mistakes, personally I would have thought grimlock should have been a voyager but I guess the line has it limits.

 

If Jetfire is being released in October at BBTS, does that mean it will be released in October in retail stores? I have Hasbro Coupons that I want to use, but am holding out to use them on the Classics line.

 

I have just fixed my preorder there. Looks like that will make me wait for everything until Jetfire comes out, though. Pile of Loot is still great  

 

With this bit of info, it appears that Classics might indeed be out before Christmas!

Nice to see Jetfire out early, and I suspect we'll see a rotating case ratio for months. But he really does seem like a "wave 1.5" so Hasbro might be staggering releases to stretch the line a bit

I thought wave one was officially slated for November, and optimistically expected by fans in September. I'd LOVE to have some Classics by next month! We really need more pictures of Grimlock and Jetfire.

 

Well, I just ordered the Jetfire, Megatron & Optimus Prime set being released in October. I checked all my old Classics preorders and it appears that the rest of the line is going to be released in September according to my arrival dates for my preorders. Which means the first wave of Voyagers (2x Prime & 2x Megatron) is being released in September and than (not even a month later) we're getting a case that's (2x Prime, 1x Megatron & 1x Jetfire)... looks to me like they might be releasing more waves than we thought...

Oh, and the Deluxes (wave 1) are saying a September release as well.
