That's too bad. I've debated getting an G1 Omega but it seems like a brick of a toy (not that that is always bad). A rejiggering of it's articulation seems like a cool idea. Is this the first add-on for it? Are others planned?

There are leg extensions. Other that that and this, nothing else so far.

So, the leg extensions only extend the legs? No articulation added? It would be cool if someone could set up a guide for all of the add-ons to the G1 toys. The Predaking one looks killer but I've been confused when I was trying to research them.

Just go look at their site, there should be a list of all the parts.

Predaking really looks amazing with all the add-ons. They tend to sell out quick though and the after market on them is a bit steep. CD is hopefully working on legs to round out the whole thing. But time will tell.
If you decide to do an upgraded Predaking, I recommend the 2010 version. The vintage versions have old joints that can get worn out by the heavy wings. At least in my experience, people with the 2010 version have had no complaints.

As for Omega, the leg extensions basically move some parts around while keeping it stable. Nothing too spectacular, but it does make it taller, which I am happy with :)  Best I can tell from the pic and description of this set is that it is a replacement set of claws. So you'll probably have to replace the old ones with the add-on if you decide to jump in.

CD is a bit on the expensive side in the long run. But their products are very nice. If you can afford it, and want to see your G1s looking a bit more screen accurate, CD is a good one to try out.

I hear rumors of other companies thinking of getting into the G1 upgrade market, but nothing concrete yet.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. Price isn't so much the issue, and I'd definitely want to use an encore or re-issue for these types of upgrades just because putting something minty fresh on a collector's grade minty fresh reissue seems like better option for maintaining a clean look. I'll do some more research as well.

Just talked to CrazyDevy himself. He said this set is three orange claws, with tips that rotate in 90 degrees. (So it can still be posed straight in rocket mode.)

So, not a full hand-claw, but better than I thought. I do like this articulation a lot. Wanted to pass on the word. They're $19.95 on his site plus shipping.

See, now, THAT I could be interested in. However, with no actual pics of how that looks and works, I can't bring myself to shell out the cash.

Tell him to start posting more than one shitty pic!

thing is, even with added joints/hinges/longer claws, the CLAW was like the only frikkin thing on g1 OS that was VERY accurate to the cartoon. The claw in the cartoon was not double jointed, only hinges were at the base of each claw (like the toy)

    Lol, true.

I know in WFC the claw had another hinge in it. Maybe emulating that? Meh either way, I like it.

yeah, looking at videos of him from the cartoon, his claw is actually too big on the toy, if anything, the claws should be little nubs ;)

You're getting 3 claws with articulated tips. Nothing else. Easy, no? And I didn't need CD's reply to that guy to explain it to me, it was already obvious.

It's cute that you're still trying to troll and bait this argument by dredging it up yet again, but I'm over it now.

See you in the next thread.

Everytime I see your Avatar, I'm peripherally aware that it's from Metalpocolypse, maybe. But I all I really see is Zartan, until I look at it real close, but even then, I still see Zartan. Is that what they were going for with it?

I added the mask. Can't say I was thinking of Zartan when I did.

It's definitely the mask that does it. Happy accident then.
