I've been holding this back for a long time, as it is one of my most convoluted builds. As some of you know, i'm a bit of a Menasor nut. I've got like 6 different ones planned, one of them being Bayverse. Here's the link to my Bay Motormaster stuff... Bayverse Motormaster And i've been teasing for awhile that I wanted to reveal Dragstrip. I've got a baby coming in January, so i don't know how soon i'll be able to finish this bash, so I wanted to show you guys the WIP stuff. When ROTF came out, a LOT of Menasors came out, and almost all of them had a "Dragglebee" if you get what i mean. Then I saw Digilaut's vision - some new members, and a quadruped combined mode. I loved it. (Digilaut - you rule!) So while most of the other cars in my Bay Stunticons are going to be just repaints, my Dragstrip had to be different. I wouldn't settle for just another sports car. Then Alphamagnus suggested using the Breakaway mold. I got to work. I ended up using Thrust instead of Breakaway for the main body, because the head was much cooler. I wanted it to have six wheels, a nice spoiler, the exposed engine in the back, the exposed cockpit with a driver's seat, 2 car guns, the whole nine yards. Here's a few looks at the vehicle mode. Don't mind the mighty putty, it's a bit messy. Like i said, it's still WIP And here's a shot with the guns. And robot mode! In addition to converting him from a jet to a dragster, i added in a couple extra mods: * I pinned the nosecone, so it could point straight down in robot mode. * I combined the two parts of the canopy, and dug a notch further back so it could fully recess behind the head in robot mode. Since this is no longer the canopy in alt mode, i will paint it black. Totally coincidental, there is a black sticker near the front of the original Dragstrip. * In order to get the rear wheels in position, i created new articulation in the ankles. This required cutting off his toes, but his wheels make great rear stabilizers. * I split the roof of the alt mode, which gives him different torso sides than the original. the silver bits with the D'con sigil which originally faced forward face downward now. ENjoy!
