LOL Well I wouldn't call the original song horrible, it's about the only rock song I can stand. And I hate rock music I laughed at it, no different then what Weird Al does or satires like In Living Color did. I took it as just harmless satire I had to look up what "affront" meant. But do you really think it was meant as an open insult on Bay and the movie? I personally just took it as harmless "Weird Al"-esque satire for fun. Pm me, I'd like to know what about that video gave you that impression Not knowing what the author of the guy doing the video was thinking I can't say. But given the rep fandoms in general have for affront behavior I can't saying for 100% you're wrong either. If you're right though, then yes it would be a new low Let's hope it was just a guy having harmless fun and that it wasn't meant as an insult It would be ironic if the guy in the video was a member of this board though
I myself think the dude is a Bay supporter. The lyrics on the page certainly don't seem to be that satirical when it comes to Bay himself. I think he's genuinely excited about the flick. Maybe a little too much, but I think he's sincere.
I think it's just plain satire and it'sclearly not a text written to "salute" Bay. It's over-the-top pro-bay and that sort of things usually mean the opposite of what the text sounds like... satire/parody 101 (sort of).
You know, after watching it all the way thru and reading the lyrics, I honestly can't tell if it's a positive or negative spoof. Only the guy that did this knows for sure, but I'm inclined to agree with you though.
I've only seen one of Michael Bay's films... and that will be Armageddon. I thought that movie was pretty cool. I think I'm going to love the live-action Transformers movie, basing it off of what I've seen regarding the movie so far.
I might agree as well if not for the lines about the detractors. Like... "Some people needlessly talk shit Even before they have seen it All those guys are fools" That kind of stuff tells me he's sincere. I think it's a spoof on Stan Bush's video, but a genuine show of support to Bay.
oh man...that was sick. thinking back on all his movies, it makes me realize that he was probably the best if not one of the best choices for a movie like this. he definitely knows how to shoot his action scenes. MAN im pumped.
Well i made it 1:38 into that before i turned it off. At least he did'nt use the song Dare, that would have shattered some childhood memories
His sining sucked but the lyrics were cool. I don't know if he's being saracstic or not, but most of those movies ruled. I loved Bad Boys, Armageddon, Pearl Harbor (battle scene only), the Rock etc.
