large ship probably the crab concept alt mode is probably a gun ship and it is too small to be an aircraft carrier, altho it seems bigger than a jet. that concept seems to have been replaced by the attacking blackout at the beginning. maybe they thought the crab thing was too big so it was not used.
Ok this won't be in TF2. Second besides not being able to see it greatly. It really sucks. thats not a transformer. Bay should stick to directing and not designing.
I don't think it was supposed to be sentient. Didnt' that leaked script say Soundwave transformed the Nemesis to be disguised as an Aircraft carrier? The SFX on that would be astounding. I'd pay just too see something that big flying in the sky. Makes me look forward to the Live action Robotech film. quick fact of the day: And a Nimitz class carrier is high as the the Empire state Building if it was stood up vertically.
I always just liked the realization that the newest carriers we've put out (Reagan and Bush) are nearly a full 1/4 MILE long. a 1/4 mile is 1320 feet long, and both of them are over 1000 feet long, my memory's a bit rusty, but I think the newer one, Bush, is 1100ish. that is a shitload of metal floatin in the water.
planes are awsum. boats are awsum. boats that carry a buncha planes is hella awsum. boat that carries a buncha planes THAT TRANSFORMS is hella mufuggin awsum.
it was just a test. its like telling michelangelo he was a hack when he still just had a misshapen lump of stone in front of him, or calling LOTR "bad writing" when it was just napkin scribbles. that said, the design still sucks
a closer look at the 3 pictures of the crab thing picture 1 : crab thing rising out of the water. water dripping from the crab thing. crab thing is rising using 2 blue circles in its bottom. looks like blue anti-gravity rays shooting down. crab thing has one leg that is thicker and longer. crab thing is attacking an aircraft carrier. top of crab thing has lots of gun like things. the crab thing is at least larger than the jet. picture 2 : people in the control room are watching the crab thing get closer and seems to have 2 arms stretched forward. screen shows crab thing has 2 larger arms but they are pointing downwards. the screen shows something that looks more like a robot. picture 3 : crab thing has lots of legs. 1 arm is shown larger and longer and is folded upwards. 2 blue circles at the bottom. some gun like things on the head. tf2 leaked treatment had the nemesis attacking an aircraft carrier and transforming into the aircraft carrier. even though there seems to be 2 larger and longer arms and the crab thing could be just the vehicle mode so we don't see the face, the tf2 treatment suggests to me the crab thing is the nemesis ship that also looks like a robot. the nemesis ship got replaced by blackout probably bec. tf1 banned the use of space ships. picture 2 is still in tf1 but the attacker is now blackout and the control room got moved to the desert. the autobots won't be able to beat the large crab thing also since the ark was not being used. if the crab thing was a transformer, it would have been one huge meteor. this giant meteor would have been out of place in tf1 since tf1 was not a disaster movie. if a transformer as large as an aircraft carrier were used in a movie, it would not be tf1 but king kong vs godzilla.
