First off are you expecting the people who aren't happy with the movies or the designs for whatever reason to go live on an island with no communication to the outside world until some time next year? Because short of that I really don't know a way for anyone to avoid the movie stuff. Websites like this have to front page movie stuff because movie fans want up to date information and if they get it here they will go somewhere else. Don't go into a store for about a year because not only will there be a flood of toys but movie designs placed on any product retailers think will sell. Plus give up TV because we will be flood with TV ads as the movie and DVD release gets closer.

Sorry love the films or hate the films there just isn't much of a way to avoid contact because it's too huge of an event for the franchise to be totally avoided.

Plus people have tried all this hate the "haters" and it just throws fuel on the fire. Some people love Transformers and they want to fuss about how something disappointing them while some people love Transformers and want to go on about something that made them so happy as a fan. Just the nature of fandom.

Crazy idea but maybe we just need to learn to live with the fact that people have different taste and sometimes that means they aren't going to like something you like. I really liked Robot Heroes but it wasn't some sort of personal insult if some other fan just hated them and felt like they were taking up peg space.

I love the Movie designs much more than the G1, because they are so complex. I love exercising my mind, watching the transformations figuring out how that car becomes that robot, which is why I love Transformer toys. I enjoy challenges, which is why I am so disapointed that the DOTM toys look alot simpler than the ROTF toys. I just love getting an new toys, throwing out the instructions, and trying to figure out how to transform it on my own. The instructions take all the fun out of it.

Also, to those who are saying to the people who dont like the movies dont watch them, I agree. But also, when the haters put up threads like this, dont post in them, just ignore them, and they will go away.

In addition to the logical reasons I'll just say this...

The movie designs just plain look cooler.

Movie JAZZ is the main reason why I think the movie characters could have looked like G1:

And PRIME himself was kinda close too.

The whole "they can't look like their boxy design" is just a load of crap IMO.

While some people dislike that fanmade video (again fanmade), I would give it a shot. Why? Because while that fanmade video looked mediocre at best, it was fanmade, therefore someone like ILM (with better resources) could provide with better stuff.

Your post is too intellectually honest for this discussion.

Yes. It is very possible. I love them both. And Beast Wars too. I honestly just don't understand why people can't see that they're completely separate entities.

I like the Spider-Man comics AND the [first two] Spider-Man live action movies too. And like Transformers, the designs are different. That doesn't make them any less awesome.

Dude, believe me, the occasional knee-jerk dislike of anything not G1 annoys me as much as the next person, but don't you think you're being a bit harsh here?

Also, last time I checked, no-one ever said that the movie boards have to be 100% positive. Complaining is still "talking", as long as it's constructively done.

Pretty much how I feel as well.

I don't want another G1, I'm glad the designs are different.

well if you look at prime for example bay pretty much took the G1 look and "updated" it,you can say that for alot of the autobots yet the decepticons look like insects(i know its been talked about over and over but im new here and wanted to see what the opinions of others were)so if it worked for prime then why not lets say starscream?

I'm not really sure the G1 style bots would work in the movies. But maybe somebody with the right idea could pull it off not sure. But I think they are fine just the way they are.

He pretty much did that to Jazz too. The colors just fool most people.

This is just me, but being of the generation that didn't get to wake up and watch G1 in all its glory, I find G1's aesthetic to be...unbearable. Too clunky and uninteresting for this guy. *feels ashamed*

Lets keep the movie designs the way they are. It works for the Bayhem.

Imaging if the movies were based on Armada and not G1....
