I think most fans have guessed it. There is NO new bot stuff cool enough to warrant those extra dollars for seeing it in IMAX. Bay simply wants more and more money, Thankfully, it seems that most guys on TFW have more brains than the sheep on Seibertron. DO NOT GO THE IMAX SHOWING. If ur desperate to go, then wait till all those on Seibertron have seen it to know what the new footage actually is.

Funny how Bay gets rich off a film that sucks....

All credit for this movie's success is all ILM and Peter Cullen.

I heard that the extra 2 minutes is just Megan Fox giving a huge monologue about how talented she is.

Did you see it both IMAX and regular theatre? Was the IMAX version cropped on the sides?

So is this news that Michael Bay wants all our money, or just a rumor?

Wow, another GEEWUNNER posting stuff that's not news in the news forum about a film that he says sucks when profits tell another story.

    Seen it already.

Oh yeah, because the box office gross is totally directly related to the actual quality of the film itself.

I originally wasn't planning to because there isn't an IMAX theater near me, but I think I now might go and see it again JUST because of this thread.

Why is it always assumed that geewunners are old and out of touch? Not that it should matter but I was around since G1 and actually liked the movie.(Wish the Dvd would hurry up and come out) But I do agree I have seen better written plots. But then I wasn't expecting a bay movie to be shakesphere. I just hope the next movie has more focus on the robots and more decepticon plotting and screentime.

The clever clogs who believes profits means a good film needs his head examined. Anyone who believes Bayformers was a good FILM is mad and crazy.

Back to topic, this is still to do with the news section. I am commenting that THERE ARE NO WORTHY EXTRA BOT SCENES WORTH PAYING THE EXTRA CASH FOR IN IMAX. Trust me, Bay is a weasel. He really thinks that the fans on here want to see more of Shia cracking dumb jokes and talking too quickly to understand what he is saying.
I am still in the hope that Bay gets the boot....

    I enjoyed the film.

[sarcasm]I guess my opinion and the opinions of many others is WRONG, and you, being the authority on all such things, is perfectly correct. Gosh, the disillusionment I've been living under. Thanks for bringing it to my attention! :thumb [/sarcasm]

Could it possibly be that many people don't wish to see it in IMAX for 2 extra minutes of footage but simply to see it in IMAX?

You can :lolol . Apparently, people don't know what sarcasm means.

I just wanna see the movie again. On an Imax screen, it would be mind blowing! Regardless of two minutes of stuff or not.

Personally thought the film was fun. It's not one of the greatest films, but there is A LOT worse out there (this year alone Spider-Man 3, Pirates 3 and Ghost Rider to name a few). I don't think you should go see TF at an IMAX theatre just for the extra few minutes, that to me wouldn't be worth it, but the experience of seeing it on such a huge screen (to me) would be. Will I see it? I'm not sure yet, if my schedule permits I just might.

Sarcasm doesn't translate too well in text.

Am I the only one who thinks the equipment IMAX films are shot/projected with alone is pretty mind blowing?

The IMAX camera is noisy as hell (which made filming the Siegfred & Roy flick quite tricky), the film stock is huge, you need a forklift to move it around, the projector weights like 1.8 metric tonnes and the bulb is so bright that you could see it on the moon...the technicians also have to wear body armor when changing the bulb because the pressure inside the bulb is 25 atmospheres and would result in quite an explosion if they dropped it.

The bulb is also 15 kilowatts, whereas industrial lasers are "only" 5 kilowatts, meaning that if you could focus the light into a single small enough spot, it could melt through solid steel.
