13 minutes shaved? Gotta save something for the blu-ray release I suppose 2+ hours is good. That's a nice and meaty movie right there.
Not sure what you mean by this 1) If you mean we get more non-movie merchandise since we have a longer break between movies, I'm all for it 2) If you mean "How awesome is that to be able [for Bay] to take a year off? Then f--- it who cares. He's a millionaire fine take time off, maybe go learn some humility All I'm thinking during this interview is, "I don't have to like the guy to like his movies" He doesn't come off as complete d-bag but he's definitely got one of the biggest egos I've ever seen
I'd like to live there. As for the interview: Nice. I expect a VERY good movie. And more Decepticons with lines that when together added up are over 10 minutes long combined. Also, I totally forgot that this movie was being filmed in 3-D. I know I hated that very notion originaly, but now it interests me (plus that former opinion was made with the influence of my opinion of that horrible "Journey 3-D" movie. Excelent effects do NOT make up for a crappy story. Bolt was what changed my mind.)
He means exactly what he says he means. It must be nice to be able to take a whole year off and still be rich.
Its nice to know that the movie will be darker, But as to how dark it will be, I don't think it would be Empire Strikes Back dark as that ends with a cliffhanger. ROTF doesn't end on a cliffhanger on what he said about the movie a few months back.
"He tried to please fans by making the film darker." The first thing comes up my mind is... REALLY ? The second thing is.... so Bay can cheat on the Computer Graphics ?? darker film meaning... we don't necessary to see the action clearly...
Great guy and a great director. I'd be surprised if any one person has done more for the Transformers brand since the original G1 days. Love ya, Michael!
nononononono he meant take a year off from transformers to do some different projects rather than jumping straight back in to more of the same
I know this is silly (and sarcastic) but thanks for responding in regards to someone elses opinion. Also taking a year off from filming TF movies doesn't entirely mean a year off of film making for Mr. Bay. I'm just hoping that giving 3 years between movies instead of 2 years gives Hasbro more time to put out stuff that is in a different style than the movies. And yes I think the Drunken Bay theory may hold a bit of truth. Maybe not drunk on alcohol but drunk on something
Great news. I gotta say, I love Mike Bay. 2 hours and 20 minutes? DO WANT. I love the bit about the robots being better actors and having more personality. Not to me. Just seemed like a normal person.
While I appreciate the limited information....that had to be one of the worst presentations of news I've ever seen. I want that guys job. LOL!
