Never give up never surrender
He's just blowing hot air. This is the guy that retracted his initial "over reaction" stating that he understood where the studio was coming from, and that after hearing Paramount's rationale for choosing HD DVD over Blu-ray, adding - "I like what I heard."

Personally I think he either took a back hander to cave - or when he threatened Paramount that he wouldnt do TF2 - they said "fine" - after which he probably got a call from his accountant explaining exactly how many millions he was looking to loose in lost royalties from TF2 (and subsequent sequels) and caved.
Yeah I saw this morning and posted it in the HD DVD thread.
I don't really care for the "I told you so" approach but whatever, just get me Transformers on Blu.
Dude, can we just change your username to poop? because every time I see your username I never even see the s and c. I honestly don't know why my eyes just skip over those letters. Besides, poop is way more fun then pscoop.
Exactly. All Bays pontificating is for nothing as long as we still dont have Transformers on Blu-Ray.
He may have been able to affect the decision at the time - but sitting there saying I told you so now that its basically over is simply childish. If it had gone the other way - i'm sure he would be saying something similar (e.g. see - its a good job I backed the winning HD-DVD format....!)
Haha. Bay is such a freaking TOOL!! I wish Paramount would just fire his ass.
It's over TF on Blue Ray here we come! Toshiba just announced the format is dead (HD-DVD)
C'mon Blu Ray Transformers! Yeeeah!
Don't know if this has been covered, but HD DVD Is officially dead:
Transformers on Blu Ray should be a simple matter of time now.
my 1080p LCD tv and PS3 are waiting............come on Transformers: Blu Ray
Time to get a Blu-ray player I guess.
While I should be disgruntled with this news, I'm actually kinda happy, as it makes a report I'm doing at school about "who will win the format war?" much easier!
Start a thread but check this out:
Nice Sig, Gordon, I have that entire DVD set, and judging by how difficult it is to find it, it's not going anywhere.
I wouldn't expect a Blu-Ray TF disc any time soon. Toshiba said they will no longer make players and recorders. There was no mention of the discs though. It also remains to be seen if the remaining studios will switch and if so re-release the previous HD-DVD movies on Blu-ray. Still a lot of decisions up in the air that will take some time sorting out.
Bay acting childish?
Between him and DB Murphy, you'd think people with such childish mentalities would "get" Transformers more.
Everytime he opens his mouth, it makes me dislike him more. He just needs to STFU and give is another Transformers movie so we can all be happy.
Ditto. Though like some members in this forum, I was a wee bit flinchin' as I had just bought the 2-disc DVD of the movie, and then soon after that we hear that the format wars is getting more over now and in favor of Bluray...
Guess which console I got XD
Bay's got nothing on Murphy, believe me. Childish is probably the nicest word I can think of for that guy.
GAAHH!!!!! We agree on something?!?!?!
I need to stop coming here!!!!!
I can't say for sure who's worse, and to be honest, I'd much rather not find out. I tried reading the posts on the boards, not just for TF but for other movies, but God, was it aweful. Between Murphy's school girl like b*tchfests and the plethora of ass kissing that goes on over there, it was too much.
On Topic: As long as we get TF on Blue Ray, I could care less. Bay needs to stop acting like he was the only one who knew the outcome. Just make the next TF movie, kthxbye.
If you are looking to get one, I might suggest a PS3. For the price, it's the best deal you can get. It's the only Blue Ray player that can be uploaded to whatever specs they standardize on ATM.
You might know this already though, but for those who are wondering, there you are.
Heeeeey! I just saw this.
