do you believe he will add more character to the robots???
I was hopeing for new news.
Quick, close this thread so no one shares the same disapointment.
And now you changed it, so now this thread makes no sence.
Just for those who walk in here, this thread was on the same topic about Bay we saw a week or so ago, with "less explosions" and more "character development", and then this one up here was hopeing it meant more characters like Hot Rod and Springer. But clearly when he went to add what's in his post now, it got rid of the link and everything else. Novice.
Most likely not. The TF's haven't had much character development in 2 movies, I don't think the third one will be different.
isn't that more the responsibility of the writer?
NOt sure with that question, but Avatar has raised the bar for standars for movies to follow in the future, as far as action or character development I believe.
Are bears Catholic? Does the Pope shit in the woods? Of course NOT.
Who knows? Who cares?
Let's just see how the movie turns out and appreciate it for what it is. Don't get your hopes up too high or else you might get disappointed and cry "WORST MOVIE EVARR!" lol
I think they'll be fine as long as they know who should get the development and who shouldn't. For example, as much as I like him I'm willing to sacrifice screentime/dialogue for Jolt in order to give bigger roles to Ironhide or Ratchet. In ROTF the Twins took up way too much of the screentime and took away from the other Autobots. I'm not saying ignore the Twins but even the playing field a bit, and we'll be fine. Every single Autobot had over 10 lines (save Bee, obviously), and Prime and Ironhide had over 20. I thought all of the bots were reasonably well-used in TF1, but not so in ROTF. Let's see what direction Bay goes in this time.
A little less of the twins, more Ironhide, Sideswip and Ratchet, and more Bee in robot form instead of just driving around over half the movie would be awesome.
Do the bears have a Catholic owner? Is the Pope a hunter?
Not everything's in the media.
Why is every question about these films anchored around Michael Bay? Yeah, he's the head honcho, but he's not writing the film... he's not figuring out the CGI... he's not composing the score.
There ARE others who need to be held accountable! Not just the head douche...
Yes but some directors much more than others make their distinctive mark on a film. They're called auteurs directors. Hopefully Bay won't be as responsible for the story as he was last time, since there's no writer's strike.
It's a tough call but since Bay isn't exactly known as a director who can do anything except for the same things he seems to do every film I wouldn't get my hopes up too high.
Perhaps the new writer is skilled enough to bring out good things even if they do have to make it out of the Bay filter of film making. Perhaps one of the big wigs investing money in the film was able to strap Bay to a chair long to explain why things need to change if they are going to keep making money instead of running the franchise in the ground. But I'm going to expect Transformers 3 More of the Same until they can prove me wrong.
