Very cool interview. Best thing he said was about the characters having a lot more personality. That's all I ask for in the new movie. i want the bots fighting, but I also want them talking.

See, maybe I'm just dense, but based off that interview I don't see why everyone calls him a asshole. He seemed very personalbe. Smart ass, maybe, but most people are

Because he yells on set, and that hurts people's feelings. I think he's a swell guy who gets his hands dirty on the set to get the results he wants.

Oh also... it's socially "cool" to hate Michael Bay, but eventually if you want to be non-comformist, you can like him and then you aren't like everyone else.

One of his better interviews because he pretty much drops the god director who can do no wrong thing to actually talk about attempts to make things better and shore up weaker points from the first film.

Must be some sign of the end of days that Micheal Bay has stopped talking like just an ego and has started to sound like an artist.

It sucks people give him grief for that kinda stuff, I mean; would they prefer he was walked all over like that clown McG?? :dunce

We all know he ain't no Herzog but I think he's pretty decent at what he does in the arena he does it (Mainstream American/Western Cinema)...

I really don't get it why people talk so much s*it about him.
people always say "his movies are only about blowing stuff up".
well, have you ever watched Armageddon?
that movie has also a lot of explosions (it's a movie about asteroid and meteors so you would expect explosions) but it also has a lot of emotions and you really care about actors in that movie. the same thing was in Pearl Harbor.
and I'm convinced that transformers would have more scenes in the first movie if Bay had more money. but he didn't. and people don't understand that.

Those are some bad examples there. "it also has a lot of emotions"? Those are awful movies.

Good Bay movies would be The Rock and Bad Boys.

I didn't mean like "I'm soooo happy there are emotions".
I was just saying that there are emotions and not only explosions.

    Caution about Ego.

Ancient but true words, "Pride goeth before a fall".

We have all seen it happen.
