EDIT: Youtube yanked the trailer, here's a new link. http://www.worstpreviews.com/headline.php?id=24348 This would've gotten me to watch that channel again, shame Syfy has decided not to make a TV series out of it and instead they're looking into making it a web series. Syfy Not Moving Forward with BATTLESTAR GALACTICA: BLOOD & CHROME
Could still be awesome, unless "web series" means ten minute episodes. TV's gonna die sooner or later anyway, with channels moving to the web, so it's not necessarily a bad thing...
*gasps for breath* Holy flurking schnit, that trailer was hardcore! I don't care HOW we get it, we better get this show.
I was never a big fan of the new Battlestar Galactica or Caprica, but I might check this out. I doubt I'll watch it all though.
I understand what Caprica was trying to do but it's perhaps not something everyone would see the point of making a TV series about and the slower stuff in BSG was sometimes a bit to slow.
SyFy needs to go ahead and change their name to "just another cable channel full of crappy reality shows".
Yup. It's happened to pretty much every channel I used to watch specifically because it offered a type of programming that no others/few others would. History channel? How 'bout "the angry rednecks cutting down trees/driving trucks/buying or selling crap at pawn shops/rolling in mud, etc. channel"; SciFi? Change the spelling for no discernible reason and stop producing anything creative or imaginative and just show wrestling, or guys walking around in the dark with camcorders going "WHAT WAS THAT!?" National Geographic, Discovery, The Learning Channel, G4, Cartoon Network, the list goes on. There's really no point to these kinds of specialized channels anymore since they inevitably end up in the same place and alienate the audiences they initially strove to cater to.
It's disappointing that this won't go to series. Wonder how long the web episodes will last.... I had no interest in Caprica, but I enjoyed Battlestar Galactica, and Adama was always a favorite character, so I was looking forward to this series.
