I have the RTS G2 Laser Prime, so I have to ask; is the MakeToys Battle Tanker an upgrade set worth getting?

I'm enjoy having a full rig, and the armor form definitely seems like a walking armory formed from a trailer.

To me it makes laser prime look 100 times better. Wish I hadn't sold mines. Might end up getting KO.

MT Battle Tanker is a great buy, because you get a lot out of it.

It upgrades G2 Laser Prime's botmode immensely and gives his altmode a trailer, which for Prime is always a must IMHO.

Plus the Gigantic Weaponized Backpack mode is pretty spectacular looking while still keeping some posability as well.

And those are just for the Optimus figure!

You also get the replacement sword for Drift's original floppy sword.

And for even more play value, if you have an igear Rager you can do this too...

I tend to keep OP in botmode (all suped up with the Battle Tanker add-ons) for 90% of the time, and the Tanker off to the side. So it's kind nice that Rager can be a sort of "holder" for it.

All in all, it is a really cool set with TONS of options and playability. I say go for it.

I like it, but don't love it. I don't find it a must own piece, but I do think it takes a pretty garbage Prime figure and makes it pretty cool. It woulda been a nice buy when BBTS was clearancing out their 3rd Party stock, but that doesn't do anyone much good now...

Honestly, IMO, Battle Tanker is the best upgrade set ever made, and is severely underestimated.

I think it's pretty great. I'd put it right up there with City Commander and Protector as a fantastic trailer/upgrade set. If you like big guns, then you will probably like this.

Really like this set...I have a RTS and a United G2 Prime, and am able to display the armor attached to one AND the tanker attached to the other (in Alt mode) looking complete enough for display. (not sure if this was intentional, but the tanker still looks complete with the armor bits removed!)

Hope to see more upgrades from them!

Likewise. He looks brilliant with the upgrade set, whether fully or partly armoured. It improves the base figure by a huge amount. The sculpting is superb, particularly the new head.
And the playability it has tips it further into 'must have' territory.
Trailer, base, two robot modes to play around with.. and then there's the engineering - the way ALL of that comes together to form the trailer is very, very clever.

I thought it was bad. The two main joints were tight to the point where I thought I was going to break it and it was too much of a pain to do anything with.
