the mythical Battle Gaia is now on ebay at an opening bid of $0.99. That doesn't happen every year...

Personally, I think those are the neatest colors I've seen for that mold.

I think the G2 combiners fall into a different category since they were never officially released, unlike Battle Gaia.

What the heck is that about? Does he have some sort of holy crusade against late bidders? I can't figure out why he'd do that otherwise. Unless maybe he's thinking that lots of bids will drive the price up or something. I dunno. I don't think I'd suddenly lose my mind and decide that I suddenly had to spend more than I planned just because lots of people are bidding.

I can only assume its a tactic to drive up the number of bids on it early, hoping that a bidding frenzy will break out.

There actually have been several of these on the 'Bay over the last few years. I know because I got a mint complete boxed one, and passed over another because it wasn't complete.

Either way, it certainly is rare, and a very special piece for anyone's collection. I've never been able to figure out why the bootleggers didn't try this color scheme - it would undoubtedly generate some sales.
