My Custom Battle Damaged Cybertron Primus (well, not really "mine"). This was for a commission and was VERY glad to do it. I've been wanting to do another one. Luckily he wanted to do the same paint scheme as my original one but with battle damage. Since my first one was basically an experiment, there were things I that I over did. This time I held back on the paints. After the battle damage, I used the same flat black base coat, dry brushed steel and aluminum, copper, brass, and some gold. For the planet mode, I use Krylon brilliant silver to give the planet mode more of a shine and the bot mode old and weathered.
I saw your video on this figure, it was incredible and looked a whole lot better then the pics man! You should definitely add a link to that video here!
WOWZA, I'm always impressed when people pull off the huge figures, I run out of enthusasm too quick for anything bigger than a deluxe Great job as always, buddy!
Cybertron come to life. I love it I would really love to see Primus and Unicron battle it out in some form of official animation. I never watched the Cybertron Cartoon so I don't know if it happened.
Never seen it either. I'm just imagining if the G1 movie did. That would have been AWESOME! The only reason I bought Primus in the first place was to paint the planet mode.
nice dude i always love primus! can i ask a question? when you use the krylon B.silver in a flat black base did it became a smooth surface? or did it have a kind of gritty surface. 'cause isprayed it in a ultra-flat black base and it turned it a gritty surface.....
It was smooth on some parts and gritty on other parts. It was kind of the effect I wanted since he supposed to be battle damaged. So I didn't think it was a bad thing. I also used the clear gloss finished to give it some shine.
About my only complaint is that he's a God, why would he be damaged??? Haha, just kidding. Nice job, and he actually looks pretty good this way.
Great work! I got my primus a few months ago and I just had to do a panel lining job on him! Looking Great! Best primus i've seen so far!
