Didn't like the battle damaged look of 2 pack Animated Prime so Last night after buying him since Animated Finally came to my area I decided he needed to be redone to remove the craptacular battle damage paint apps. And plus to take a break from working feverously on Nightbeat

Used some 91% isop Alcohol to remove the paint off the none painted areas and repainted the entire chest, while I know the red on the chest now doesn't match the plastic color (But does it ever on Hasbro releases when they paint transparent plastics?)
Also added Animated(Show wise) acurate paint apps, Detailed the battle axe, and added the missing yellow paint needed and a Autobot symbol to cover the movie style symbol that Hasbro lazily slapped on instead of a normal one.

Overall only took 2 hours from start to finish (Counting paint drying and clearcoating).

I think The Deluxe Prime fits in better show wise with the toys then the larger Voyager version would, and all I need to complete this guy is a non battle mask head like the one on Cybertron Mode deluxe prime... anyone got a spare head they wanna get rid of?

I thought the "g1" prime from the 2 pack didnt' have black on the torso, which I'd honestly like.

It does, RL. I'm working on one now.

Looks great, JD. Especially the front of the Alt mode.

Thanks Im looking at that pic and deciding if I should chrome out the grill and the slider piece at the bottom of the bumper area to make it match... I might also chrome paint the smoke stacks too.

Apparently you can straight-across swap the head from Deluxe Prime onto Two-Pack prime, or so I've heard. I don't have either one of them (might try and get them today, tho.)

That rumor is wrong. The only way that it might work is if you do som work to the inside of the head. The Cybertron deluxe Prime has a ball joint head wile the 2 pack "G1" Prime is more stationary. Not saying its impossible but not a strait switch.

    I DO !!! :bay
Too bad you didn't take a before pic...I have no idea what you did...looks good though.

    P.S.
Yes, battle damage should never be depicted by paint apps alone.

No prob no appoliges needed, I just hope you'll want to do the same, Plus it makes 2 pack prime better! :thumbs2:

I figured I draw your attention, hence the title :p  lol

The BD version you can find in the feedback section as someone just did a review of the 2 pack he came from.

Also I did Chrome paint the Grill and Stacks but it kind of leaves the legs looking plain now... lol I guess I'll be doing them as well :p

I did the same thing and then try what John said and it is right. Makes a lot easier but now to match the colors. :(

Very, very nice. One comment though. Below the headlights and surrounding area in vehicle mode should be black, although I see how it fudges with robot mode.

Cyb mode prime comes in handy once you have the two pack. The heads are interchangeable pretty nicely. The axe not so much, it's a bit too thin for cyb modes hand and sits loosely.

I kept the 2pack Axe with my repaint and finally got the Cybertron mode Prime and swapped the heads While Cybertron Prime's head is slightly loose I don't wanna muck it up by trying to coat the ball joint in crazy glue cause then in would mess up the earth mode head's socket if i went to swap the heads again... But now I gotta figure out what to do with the Cybertron Body that I don't need...

It's nicely done an all, but why waste paint when you can scratch it off with a hobby knife?

I thought about that but I didn't want scrape marks on the plastic where the Battle damage was painted on. and plus it was easier to just redo certian areas.
