Newsarama.com : Hey, That's My Cape! – Why Batman Is Better Than Spider-Man
I can't wait to see that. Has a great Batman: TAS vibe to it.
I just hope it's Batman Brave and the bold cheesy and not Batman and Robin Cheesy.
So it's not on Broadway? Does that mean it's an off-Broadway show?
Makes me think of that Batman Musical from Batman Beyond.
First thing that sprang to my mind as well!
YouTube - Batman the musical
Gotta say.....I like that Joker a lot.
His costume and make-up were fantastic. As was his acting.
Its starting (I think) with a UK tour.
And...meh. I've been following this since it was announced and so far its failed to grab my interest.
I saw this the other week, free tickets because my brother in law works for the architects that designed part of the O2 centre.
Anyway it was opening night (seriously! First day!) and there were a lot of people in bat outfits, and lots of kids in bat capes (which you could buy in the shop). So we were watching it all unfold with this with a mild sense of disbelief, but when Batman fights Catwoman for the first time they floated around on wires a lot. A bit like the fight scene in Team America. My reaction to the fight, which was mirrored by everyone else present was...
'What the FUCK was that?'
Very very poo. The thing was when I got home they were playing Batman Forever on TV, which oddly was the film that the stage show was closest to.
A friend also went to watch it a few days later, but on his show Batman dropped his grappel gun when he pulled it out and attempted some 'stylin'.
Pretty poor all in all.
Guess that Batman musical from Batman Beyond is still better
Now I've seen everything.
i would of gone see it if it was a musical
I went to see it too and I didn't think it was all that bad (especially given I thought I was going to outright hate it). The actors playing Batman and Robin were really weak, but the villains were very good (Joker and Harley especially).
