As much as I want it to come out as soon as possible I hope this is a 2011 title and not next year. That's way too soon.

If Hamill doesn't paly Joker again, same with Konroy and Sorkin with their characters, I'll be dissapointed to the point of summoning a negative emotion, possibly hostile.

I saw this announcement about an hour ago, but I'm still in shock. Arkham Asylum is a Comic Book Video Game Diamond. Worth much more than all of the other ones. And I NEVER really liked Bats before.

But, oh god, does Mark Hamill just NAIL the voice of Joker. It's magical, how he just adds so much character to... well, the character! Joker can't be THE JOKER without Hamill.

Week of release buy for me, if not Day 1.

And to the person who is worried about the game not being quality if it comes out too fast: You have to realize, when a game series is made, most of the work is made in the first rendition, because you're building the materials of your game, along with setting those materials up.

Since the materials from the first game is still there, the game team only has to do a little more work with making a few more new materials. The foundation has been set up, so they can spend less time with that, and more on the content of the game.

I am just pumped. Hope we get to see some Mr. Freeze action. And I wouldn't mind Killer Croc coming back, despite me jumping out of my skin every time he appeared in that DAMN sewer sequence.

I think the Scarecrow segments were also good, but I hate the spooky stuff....

 

Unless they add better replay to this, I'm not interested. I've played and beat the 1st and then there is nothing to do afterwards. Challenge maps boring.

 

Oh I get that. I just want the game to be more than a marginal upgrade though. Really a year (and sometimes even 2) is a short development cycle for those Madden games and the like, let alone hefty SP games.

I'm really wishing for a open world Gotham or a much bigger area to explore at least (BATMOBILE). I just hope they don't ease up on comic book nods just because it's a larger map. If anything it should have more references.

This is a rather odd title. Are they re-using Arkham Asylum in the name just for brand recognition, or is it actually going to take place in the Asylum again? Because if it's the latter, that seems kinda lame to me. We've already explored it!

They've obviously moved the inmates to a different site.

But yeah, I was going to say: If they've made this trailer, then it MUST MEAN that development for this has already started. I'd surmise maybe a few months already. Or maybe... ever since the first one got released!

 

Based on the site looks like two face is gonna be in it, the hat is in two and one of the hands looks scarred. I'd love for them to do one in a different location like Wayne Tower or GCPD headquarters.

 

I really hope they'll get out of the Asylum and explore Gotham City in this one.

As for voices, Mark Hamill returning is a MUST. If Two-Face is in it, I hope they get Richard Moll back. Hell, get any of the voice actors from The Animated Series back and I'll be happy!
