    Those are the ones we've been doing here on this board for a while. That guy is just buying them for $1, ripping the lights out of the whistle, then selling them for $5 profit.

    Yeah total ripoff, unless you absolutely cannot find them. I've even seen the whistles online at led novelty sites for around a buck too.

    That dual-blue on Recon barricade ROCKS!!! I kinda wanna buy him now.. heh.

    Yeah, some people just remove the lights and bend an LED up, sell them that way. I actually add more solder to strengthen the attachment points, position the lights correctly using a roof-template, put on a layer of epoxy to reinforce the battery tower/lights so they don't break off during customization, and seal the board with black paint. It's waaaay more durable than if you just popped it out of the whistle. And yes, I have to drive one hour ANYWHERE to find a town with a store, lol!
