Got my Kiwami Tamashii Dan today. Opened him up, much like MP Rodimus, wondering "okay, what's going to be wrong with this one?" Surprisingly, the answer is nothing. After Giraffe-neck McNo-Biceps and Zero de Milo, Bandai finally got one right. The arms have full range of motion and the shoulder pads are mounted on top of the torso to avoid getting in the way. He can dual wield his spear in a variety of poses that all look good. I'm really impressed with this guy and will likely change my mind about skipping the upcoming Kiba figure. I just wish - and quite frankly can't understand why they weren't - that Garo and Zero had been made just as solid as Dan. For all you non-Garo watching KR fans reading this. It's like if the Decade and Diend figures had some really major sculpting limitations and problems, then Bandai put out an Abyss or Kivala that was just spot on perfect.
Sure. Here are a few quick ones from my iPhone. Behold Garo's continuing inability to be in focus. I'll try to do more action shots sometime when I'm not being lazy. I have some fun ideas.
Nope, three different characters. The silver one is Zero, the gold one is Garo, and the new one is Dan - three different Makai Knights. Garo is the main character of the show, Zero is the secondary protagonist/anti-hero, and Dan is a character that's exclusive to the post-series TV movie (which is why it's ridiculous how much better of a figure he is than the other two). TV-Nihon has the show subbed and recently redid it using higher quality DVD rips. I'd definitely recommend it; one of the best tokusatsu I've ever seen.
heres a few more pics, really glad they did the swapping gimmick, hope they get around to releasing a bike (maybe w/ skull?)
