I'd like to know as well. Also, where do you buy ratchet joints?

Balljoints are usually salvaged from other figures, such as bionicles. Ratchet joints can also be found in some lego and/or mega-bloks figures. I think HLJ might sell balljoints but i'm not sure.

    Try here: Ball Joint Gray

There are more links to other ball joint kits at the bottom of that page if gray isn't the color you want, or you can just try exploring the site for other materials made soley for the scratchbuilder or other giant mecha kits. I know thay sell Armored Core weapon kits, the 008 set Chain guns are exclelent for my planned custom and the handgun that came with the set, when the handguard bottom was removed, is an excelent second pistol for my Alt. Hound (I can even get it to fit in the engine compartment in Alt. Mode like it was meant to be there the whole time!)

Ball joints can be bought from HLJ.com. the brand is "yellow sub". They have all kinds of goodie parts for model/action figure making.

But mostly, all parts get salvaged from other bots or toys of some sort. Remember to always RECYCLE.

I have a plethora of those big ass 30-40 gallon bins full of "fodder" bots and parts.

Really great ratchet joints can be found in Lego Knights Kingdom figures. The even better part is that you can get them in big lots on eBay for dirt cheap.

Hey, do you mind posting a link to one of the auctions so I can see what you are talking about? I don't think I've heard of them.
