On some other figures I've applied a bit of nail polish to the ball, that works sometimes.

There are various solutions. One of them is to put a little superglue on the ball and then keep working it as the glue dries so it does not set it in place, but merely tightens the joint.

Myself, I disassemble the offending limb, put a little clear nail polish on the ball, leave it for a couple of hours to dry, then reassemble. Good as new.

Just be careful not to overdo it or you'll make the joint too stiff.

Small piece of sticky tape does the job as well (wrap around the ball joint) if the joint is large enough. I fixed my Dagtector figures' leg joints like that. Good enough.

nail polish works great, you're just trying to add a layer unto the male or female part.

for something less permanent you can pop the ball joint, put a piece of saran-wrap in front of the female cavity and push the male part in...then just use an exacto to trim away excess

Clear nail polish is really what you aught to look for. If you can't find that, then nail strengthener is usually clear and works just fine. Just make sure you let it dry for a long time.
