Does anyone else :lol  at the fact that bagged sets are being sold on Ebay even though they sold out?

Doesn't it make you worry that your sight met get sold, that BotCon may get short-changed, and the Internet will explode?

I just worry about the blue-hairs volunteering all weekend and getting stuck with a 2005 set instead. :(

What if people who got confirmation get screwed because people are stealing the bagged sets from the factories?

Yeah, I saw these yesterday and thought... 'How can they have bagged versions when the shows been freakin' sold out?!' It doesn't make any sense to me, but I'm not entirely bothered by it either. I guess I might if I were actually going to the convention though...

I placed a bid on Screamer last night for the hell of it... it's currently up to $61 and the guy's reserve still hasn't been met. Makes me wonder what the reserve is. Of course, if you want a funny Botcon auction... check out etoyshunter's 08 Prime dutch auctions... $9.99 starting bid, but $100 in shipping. :lol  Someone's in for a surprise!

Unfortunatley thats life, there will always be those scumbags who steal things, be it Transformers or something more valuble. They seem to think thereis a business in stealing but in actuality it just pisses people off because people like me spend money on TF's and they steal them. It's like an auction I saw way back when, they a TF on ebay, which was not shceduled for release for like 4 months and yet they had it, people bid on it, and I guess thats that. Anywho, I hate people who steal but the United States legal system doesn't do enough to stop it. Anywho thats what I think.Feel free to tear it apart if you like.

Maybe these were bagged sets that were produced by the factory as extras that FP didn't buy? Or maybe they are defects that didn't pass QA. If that's the case, buyer beware.

These are like the flood of Alpha Trions from last year, factory extras. FP will meet their commitment, I have no doubt.

If FP wasn't able to meet their commitment, they would have said something about it already. I believe there will be enough for everyone who ordered them already.

Well, to be honest, I'm not sure the US can do anything about this. If you look most of these guys whom have these toys up to four months or so before release are selling from China (usually Hong Kong or Singapore) and sometimes Taiwan or some other asian country (like there's a Botcon 08 Screamer up right now that's shipping from Tokyo Japan). More than likely these guys are getting them from factories (coule be stolen goods as you suggest -and I'd beat that the bagged ones are-, but the loose ones are probably test run samples that are usually either thrown away or given to a factory employee) overseas so the US really doesn't have much say in what happens in a factory in Asia.

Yeah, that's true. Every year there's a flood of at least one or two of the exclusives (in the case of 05 basically the entire box set showed up on eBay at least two to three months before the convention). Hell, that's how I bought my 05 Megatron, last year's Alpha Trion and a few of the other 'show only' guys. And, you're right, FP always meets their demand.
